Suggestion for profitable campaigns
HELLO,
I have started affiliate marketing since more than a month with the help of Stm forum. I am perplexed because I am not able to find any profitable campaigns. I have always setup campaigns according to recommended offers and geos by my AM but also my ROI is in between negative 98 to 99%. I have spend more than 100 $ on traffic with only 8$ in revenue. looking forward for suggestions.
Thank you

Mostly I have run offers such as sweeps, adult chat, captcha, etc. with traffic mostly from propeller ads. I have also performed popads, but it didn't perform too well so I stick with propeller ads only. Recently I have been following your optimization tip, but that is becoming more complex, since I am not getting any offers which passes 10x payout traffic initial test as I hardly get 1 conversion after spending 10x payout
Regards.

Actually - regarding that:
Originally, I felt that suggesting to run 10x payout in traffic would help affiliates to avoid "throwing out" good offers prematurely. Lately I re-evaluated this approach and decided (based on observation) that it shouldn't require such a big budget to test offers, even if new affiliates are running in a geo for the very first time on a traffic source, without a blacklist.
It would be difficult to optimize a campaign from lower than -50% ROI, to breakeven/profits. Therefore, if you're direct-linking to an offer, I would recommend to get at LEAST 5 conversions on a 10x payout in spend, before deciding to optimize further.
Which means you'll most likely get at least 1-2+ conversions in the first 5x payout in spend.
Back to your issue: If you're not getting even 1 conversion after spending 10x payout, then you're either not testing enough offers, or not bidding properly.
How many offers have you tested? Can you please show me a list? Were they direct-linked or were you using landers? What were you bidding?

I have wasted lots of money on only 5 offers.
They were direct linked offers. I haven't used LP.
My bidding was always 10-20% higher than smart CPM automatic bidding recommendation in Propeller ads.
Sorry I am unable to post screenshot here, I dont know what is problem but the text shows that the desired file is too large to upload.

There you go! Now you know how to improve.
I don't know what your offer payouts were - I'm going to assume they're low-payout offers like I suggested in the tutorial - so maybe $1 or less?
Assuming average payout of $1:
5 offers x 5x payout x $1 payout =
$25 <--- would have been ALL you had to spend on initial testing (based on what you told us - about how they didn't convert once in 10x payout)
Don't beat yourself up over the "wastage". This is what every beginner has to go through to learn. You paid your tuition on that lesson already - going forward you'll be more skilled in controlling spend. Great job!
So to clarify:
1)When bidding for initial testing, a very rough guide would be $1 for tier 1/2 (developed) countries and $0.70 for tier 3/4 (developing) countries. Of course it's different from traffic network to traffic network as well, but for PropellerAds and PopAds if you have no idea initially, the bids above would be a 'crutch' to use.
You can also take a really low-payout offer that converts at least semi-well, start from minimum bid, cut placements at 2x payout in loss, clone campaign at a higher bid, cut placements again, and repeat. That way you can identify all the good and bad placements across a range of bids. Of course the lower the offer payout and the better the offer converts, the less money you'd be paying in the process.
This way you won't need to worry if you're bidding high/low enough or not. But you'd need to invest money into this process - which if you're not ready to do, you can just use the $1 or $0.70 starting bids above.
2)Spend money on testing first, before spending on optimizing. Set the bar high when it comes to which funnels (offer+lander+ads) you want to optimize for. Make sure your funnel converts well BEFORE you invest significant amounts of money on cutting unprofitable traffic. Putting this in another way: If your funnel isn't able to make MOST of the traffic profitable, then it's not good enough. If most of the traffic is unprofitable for your funnel, and you cut that unprofitable portion away, you'd be left with scraps.
Hope that's clear! If not let me know.
Another question for you: How did you choose those offers? Were they recommended by your affiliate managers?

Thank you Amy for the reply
Yes, they were all recommended offers by my AM. I also run them in their recommended top geos.

Hello, there.
Can you suggest me which post to read in order to setup my landing page in offers and funnelflux. I have fixed the ripped landers and now I need to know what should be my next step?
Thank you in advance.

These lessons should help:
https://stmforum.com/forum/forumdisp...l-Flux-Version
The only thing I haven't covered yet (which I will write a lesson on very soon) is how to add landers to funnelflux pro.
Here's how you do it:
1)Log into Funnelflux Pro > "Pages and Sources" in left menu > "Landers" at top.
2)Click "+ New".
3)Assign a "Lander Name" - this can be anything you want - I've given an example in the screenshot below.
Put your lander's url in the "Base Lander URL" field.
4)OPTIONAL: This step is only applicable if your lander displays information that is custom to each visitor, such as device brand and model (e.g. "Congratulations Apple iPhone 12 Users!").
Scroll down to the "Append Extra Data" section and add the custom parameters and variables.
"Fields" <--- these need to be the same parameters names as what is specified in your lander code, so you'll need to type these in.
"Values to pass" <--- these are hard-coded into the Funnelflux Pro tracker - so you only need to select the appropriate ones.
5)Scroll down to "Page Action Links" and click to copy the "Action URL". Go to your landing page and paste this url in every place where you need the visitor to be sent to the offer. (In other words, replace outgoing links to the offer with this url.)
6)Don't forget to "Save" this lander in the tracker.
That should be it! Use these instructions to add the lander. The lessons linked to above should help you to add the offer, and then to create the funnel and campaign in Funnelflux Pro. Please let me know if you have further questions.

Thank you very much @vortex for providing me with steps to add the landers.
I really was wondering why I was not able to find any post regarding addition of landers in funnelflux.
And
Can you please suggest me post where I can learn how to add offer links to landing pages?

You don´t add offer links to landing pages.
You add the offer links to your tracker and on your landing pages you addf the click URL from your tracker.

Step 5 in my instructions above is where you'd add the ACTION URL to your landing page.
Then, when you create a campaign in Funnelflux, you'd specify the landing page(s) AND the offer(s).
And then, when visitors are sent to the campaign url, Funnelflux would replace the ACTION URL with the OFFER URL.
Hope that is clear! You can try this yourself - create a campaign in Funnelflux, then put the campaign url in your browser to get to the lander, then click on an outgoing link on the lander and you should be taken to the offer (assuming the offer accepts wifi and you're either located in an accepted geo or using a VPN; or if the offer accepts carrier traffic only, assuming you're using data for that specific carrier).

Hello, there.
Can anyone help me?
Since 3 days I am unable to create new campaigns in propeller ads.
The creatives I created for push notifications are rejected every time by propeller ads.
This might have some thing with their updated creative policies, but I have considered all their consideration as far I have known.

Whats the disapproval reason they provided you? Usually they are quite clear about what they didn't like about your ad.

Hello @
ScottyG
The mail simply says
Campaign "martinique iphone" (#4445413) has been rejected by the policy team because it doesn't follow our advertising guidelines or contains materials prohibited for advertising.
I am still working on edits and avoiding the donts of advertising guidelines.

The legend @
vortex told me the same thing regarding Tiktok and it helped a ton.
Yes, the iPhone logo is prohibited by Propeller Ads.

Damn @ScottyG - how could you be everywhere doing everything at the same time??
I'm starting to think maybe you're a group and not one person.
You're running new campaigns every day, updating your tiktok follow along, reading books on marketing, watching videos on youtube, programming (and sharing) landing pages, helping your parents move - and you STILL manage to find time to answer other members' questions!
You're hella motivating. Seriously. I meant every word I said in the newsletter.

Hello @
vortex,
What should I keep in 'Value to pass' section?
Suppose there are mention of iPad, iPhone, Samsung galaxy in landing pages, If I am needed to keep those all fields ? And what will be Value to pass for those fields?
Will be grateful if you could clarify.
Thank you

I've just finished all the 40-day tutorial lessons for Funnelflux a few days ago - what a nice coincidence!
Please see this post:

Specifically the section "Step 2: Add Landers to Funnelflux Pro".
Please ask any additional questions you may have after following the instructions there.

Sorry for not having gotten back to you sooner! Basically most emojis we use on social platforms should work. For example
https://fbemojis.com/
Or you can copy them from push ads in spy tools.
