Hi, is it now mandatory to do business verification to run ads?
I was running PPE campaigns for a week to warm up with clean whitehat content and no ads were rejected but the BM got disabled and it's asking for BV before appealing.
A FB livechat agent told me about 2 weeks ago that it's not necessary to do business verification to run ads and she said business verification is only for app development. Is this misinformation or things have changed in the past 1-2 week(s)?
Also can you please clarify if business verification will unlock unlimited ad spend? A FB rep said no but a few people who sell/rent out accounts say it will...
Thanks!
hi, nope, it's not mandatory. And no, the Verified BM doesn't provide you unlimited adspend. You will grow your limit with spending more and more.
Use this link to check the BM limit - https://cpa.rip/check-bm/ - just use google translator.
You got hit with the Verification because you triggered their AI as to being suspicious and likely not authentic. And verifying is no guarantee of getting the profile/BM/account back either.
I will presume this is a farmed or purchased profile or BM. You should focus on appearing more authentic to Facebook going forward.
To me, BM verification is one of those things that, although isn't a must, will likely help to increase your secret "trust score" - or whatever FB calls their secret evaluation of how trustworthy your account is.
These days with FB, the question to ask is "how can I maximize my trustworthiness in FB's eyes?" and not "how little can I do and still keep my account alive?"
Because even if you do everything you can to please FB, that would still be no guarantees you won't lose your account.
Of course, if you're using the churn-and-burn method, or using an agency account, then it may be a different story.
