Hi, Just wondering if running a Refer a friend campaign like 'get $20 give $20' for an ecom site won't be against FB's policy?

Most advertisers/shops don't allow actual media buy on "refer a friend"-programs (check their T&C's). But to answer your question, as far as I know there is nothing wrong advertising that on FB.
It sounds like a standard promo, so as long as we're talking about your own ecom site, it can be a legit strategy and I don't see why FB would object. Unless you don't plan to honor this and people would start complaining and reporting it.
