Push campaign shows promising, how should I continue ?
Hi guys.
I'm running an iPhone 12 sweepstake offer with Payout 1.85$. I'm only testing on Carrier/Android only. When I start I try to running this offer on both push and pop traffic, and below is the result after 3 days.

As you can see, the push campaign show much more promising while the pop campaign doesn't have any conversion. I read somewhere in the forum that you should try the offer on POP traffic first, and only move to Push when that offer gets a good result on Pop. Obviously it is not right in my case right ?
Anyway moving back to the push campaign, even the campaign shows promising ROI but the number of conversions is quite low. On the first day I got 5 conversions, on the 2nd day I pause the campaign because it shows quite poor performance (no single conversions for more than half a day), and I got another 4 conversions on the third day. So I have several questions below
- should I keep running the campaign to collect more data
- should I increase the bid to get more traffic. Below is my current CPC bid

- Regarding the creatives, I only use icon and text for starting as recommended by @twinaxe in his push tutorial. Below is my creative's performance, is this enough data to start removing the worst creatives or should I wait for more conversions.

- What else can I do to turn this promising campaign into a profit one.
Thanks for your time.

I have some more update
The push campaign performance today is quite bad. Only 1 conversions for more than 12 hours with current ROI at -74%. So I think I will pause the campaign for now to avoid further bleeding. I don't know if it is the correct way to handle the bad day. Do you guys have any rule of thumb like "pausing the campaign if ROI drop below a certain threshold" to handle the bad day or you still keep the campaign running ?

Somehow missed this thread - I'm asking @twinaxe to come take a look. He's the push expert and I'm sure will be able to help!
In the meantime here are a couple of thoughts from me:
As you can see, the push campaign show much more promising while the pop campaign doesn't have any conversion. I read somewhere in the forum that you should try the offer on POP traffic first, and only move to Push when that offer gets a good result on Pop. Obviously it is not right in my case right ?
Testing lots of offers on pop first and then scaling the best to push is a good tactic. However, there are definitely exceptions. For example, I remember having mentioned that offers that need quite a bit of preselling, such as CC submit offers, usually do way better on push than on pop. This is because for push traffic, you have an extra sales tool - the push ad.
I do that all the time - pause a campaign for the day if the numbers don't look good.
I can't suggest an ROI cut-off - it really depends on the "usual" or "normal" ROI of the campaign, whatever it may be. So for example if most of the time the campaign performs at -10% to 30% ROI and all of a sudden dips to -50% ROI, I would say just pause it out.

I read somewhere in the forum that you should try the offer on POP traffic first, and only move to Push when that offer gets a good result on Pop.
Unluckily there is not
that one way to do it right, it can work both ways.
Some people like to test it on pops first because they can get more volume at low cost, other people prefer to test on push first because there the users already clicked your ad so they should be somewhat interested in your offer.
- should I keep running the campaign to collect more data
It´s up to you, when it makes money there is no real harm when you let it run but you should be aware that the campaign will never have potential to go big.
On other hand such campaigns are really good to learn the process of running campaigns because due to their limitation you also have lower risk to lose much money.
- should I increase the bid to get more traffic. Below is my current CPC bid
It seems the offer payout is $1.85, just try to increase it step by step.
Otherwise you will receive less and less traffic the more placements you block so that eventually it´s not worth anymore to keep it running.
Below is my creative's performance, is this enough data to start removing the worst creatives or should I wait for more conversions.
Usually the stats are too low because every additional conversion can turn the tables between the last 4 creatives.
But the first two are already profitable and they also have the highest CTR of all creatives and will receive most traffic anyway so could just pause the last 4 creatives and continue with the two best ones.
What you also could do is to pause the other creatives and continue with these two and test variations of it like different icon, with big image and so on.
In a campaign with so low volume I would rather test variations of the already promising creatives instead of letting the others run for longer.
In this case however I would first run the campaign with the two best creatives to see if I can get more conversions and bring the whole campaign into green and then test variations a bit later if needed.
- What else can I do to turn this promising campaign into a profit one.
First get it running on profit on high activity.
Next run it with same winning setup on medium activity.
When you then made quite few conversions from the high and medium activity campaigns use the good converting placements in a WL to also run it on low activity.
Do you guys have any rule of thumb like "pausing the campaign if ROI drop below a certain threshold" to handle the bad day or you still keep the campaign running ?
I don´t have strict rules for it because I rather decide on a per campaign base.
A good indicator to use is how much potential a campaign has to make the losses back.
What you should do is to not only check the overall performance.
Use your stats wisely and dig a bit deeper.
Sometimes it happens that suddenly a new placement pops up that sends high volume but low conversions.
This could lead to bad overall stats although the performance for the other placements is more or less the same.

The best decision is to continue running a campaign to get statistics.
Also, we recommend applying Automated Rules to blacklist non-converting sources but with the following details:
• If you spend a lot and didn't get conversions, blacklist the source.
• Do not blacklist sources that don't have both spend and conversions.
