Anyone has success experience to promote self shopify store via ppv traffic?

I have built a grocery Shopify store and looking for nice traffic to promote it. Facebook account is very hard to hold active, so I am interested in ppv traffic. Anyone has success experience to promote self Shopify store via ppv traffic?

What exactly are you referring to by PPV?

Do you mean Google Search/PPC traffic? Or like Google Display Network? Or Youtube video ads or?

I don't do any Shopify stuff but I definitely see a lot of people running traffic to their Shopify stores on both Native and YouTube and Google Display Network... and I'm sure there's people using Google Search PPC for it too though that's sort of its own science...

Also TikTok is one I'm hearing good stuff about...

Probably depends a lot on the niche of your Shopify store too...

If its some insanely specific demographic like a Russian language store for Dachsund lovers you may need the super-precise demographic and interest targeting of a Facebook or Google...

If you're selling Cowboy Boots or Teeth-Whitening Kits or Chess Sets from re-claimed wood you could probably get away with something more general...

Usually the term PPV is used for adware traffic like Propelmedia.

If so, why do you want to run PPV traffic @inao hagino?

PPV was my main traffic for several years and I promote lots of ecom there.

Unluckily the glory days of PPV are over for long time already so would be great to hear a bit more about your motivation.

Thank u, @twinaxe I am the same with u. I am using ppv traffic for over 10 years. So sad to see it down. From the basic of ppv traffic(injection traffic), I always thought it will be good for promote ecom Shopify store. So I am looking for someone who had experience with it.

Yes, it´s a pity that PPV isn´t working anymore.

Zango/Lead Impact was great.
Rapsio was also great as long as it lasted.

In 2008 or 2009 I started running Mediatraffic and had good campaigns there.

On 50onred/RTX I had many good campaigns in European geos.

And what do we have now?

Lead Impact dead.
Rapsio dead.
Mediatraffic dead.
50onRed not much volume anymore.

We still have Propelmedia but I didn´t run campaigns there for several years.

My last infos about Rapsio are that part of their traffic was available on advertise.com and Propelmedia.

From the basic of ppv traffic(injection traffic), I always thought it will be good for promote ecom Shopify store
I never had an own Shopify store that I promoted but I ran lots of PPV traffic to eCom affiliate programs because it worked very good.

In-Text campaigns were also doing very good.

how is ppv even still a thing ? don't most peope use pop up blockers since browsers include them now a days ? once and a while i still get them on mobile though.

@sibi881 Although it looks pretty similar PPV has nothing to do with pops.

Pops are triggered from a code on the websites = serverside.

PPV is adware traffic, that means that the user has to install an adware to see such ads.

It´s clientside and triggered from the users computers so pop up blockers won´t work there.

The downfall of PPV has more to do with the increase of mobile traffic I guess.

But also Google is getting a lot more strict in the chrome store regarding adware extensions. Lately, it's looking like Propel is on the way out as well. I have been doing PPV for 10+ years but I'm finally making the switch to pop traffic because I don't see ppv making a comeback.

Lately, it's looking like Propel is on the way out as well.
Do you still run Propel?

Would be curious to know if they still have volume.

I had 1 US account and 1 international account but for the international account they had only very low volume few years ago already and didn´t even support all geos anymore.

I have been doing PPV for 10+ years but I'm finally making the switch to pop traffic because I don't see ppv making a comeback.
That´s why I switched to pops in beginning of 2017.

When LeadImpact went down and 50onRed also didn´t work that good anymore I still had Rapsio.

But first their volume decreased, then the quality decreased as well, then they only had US traffic anymore.

At one point I also realized that PPV is over for the most part.

Would be great when there would be networks with mobile adware traffic.

but yea, i miss the good "old" days of 50onRed and when Rapsio was around..
