Good 1st conversion! Next steps + gameplan? (7)

Hi all,

Got my first conversion running an adult offer and made $6!!!! Spent $90 but still chuffed that I got a conversion. Probably a fluke but I will take it as proof that this stuff works.

From here, obviously goal is continue, gather data, tweak and scale.

Just wondering if anyone can help with creatives? Specifically was hoping someone had example banners I could use?

First of all - congrats on your very first conversion!

In order to get specific advice though, you'd need to give us more information than that. For example:

-What kind of adult offer? Dating? PE/ME? Cams?

-Where are you running? Which network? Which site?

-Are you using landers? How many have you tested?

-How many banners have you tested? What do they look like?

Let's start with these!

Adult is very transparent vertical. All you need to start with is a VPN and a list of popular adult websites. Use the VPN to simulate the GEO you want to explore, then head to the adult sites and check what banners are running on them. Click some and you have the LPs. This is a great starting point.

If you can afford it, get a spytool! That's the best option by far. Adplexity is my favorite one and they have an adult version too. It will literally save you hours and hours of your time and the additional data they provide can help you select ads that are popular right now. Then just do a few mods to them, so you don't run the same stuff as everyone else and you're good to go.

And keep it simple, no need to use some high level banners, the simple and often ugly ones work well.

Not using Lander as its direct to offer

Only tested 1 banner and traffic course is trafficjunky.

Problem is we need help on creating more banners. Unsure where to find/rip them or how to go about creating/what works best.

Thank you for this information! @matuloo would be able to give you more tips. I haven't run adult dating in years. But for better or worse, here's what I used to do when it comes to testing banners:


1)For an initial test, come up with 5-10 angles and create 3 banners per angle. The 3 banners for each angle should be different and not just by a little bit - for example they should have different headlines and/or images.

Can use spy tools for inspiration.

Try a mix of static and animated images.


2)After some testing, you would hopefully see which ads perform the best. Create more banners for the best angles. Take the best ads and create different versions of them, for example a)make different combinations of their headlines and images (e.g. Ad1's headline with Ad2's image and vice versa), b)take the best images and test them with more new headlines, c)take the best headlines and test them with more new images.


3)Adult banners experience ad fatigue fairly quickly, so try not to rip-and-run like you could with landers. When I was running adult dating back in 2015 - and I wasn't even running very high volumes - I had to test new creatives every week. So, instead of asking for banners that work, make your own.


Also: Unless the adult dating offer comes with its own survey questions, try to test some survey landers.

Big mistake! Adult doesnt work without a lander, that's the norm. Even if the offer you're promoting does have a prelander built in, you can still improve the results by using your own LP. In many cases, it's better to skip offers that have their own prelanders as most of them have been seen a million times. You're fighting against many other affiliates and advertisers, you need to stand out and creatives can be your strongest weapon.

So basically, you just used 1 banner and no LP... which means you didn't test NOTHING yet Sorry, but that's the truth.

Banners burn out fast, so do not spend days on designing them. The beauty of adult is that even the ugliest banners of all can convert well, as long as they have the RIGHT female on them. There is no need to reinvent the wheel here, just grab some banners that you see rotating on the large tube sites, replace the models with different ones, tweak the copy a bit and test them.

In the end, it's about finding the right offers (advidi is solid, check rebll or gotzha too, topoffers is another good one) and making creatives that pull enough clicks and still convert well. Landing pages can last for a while so do not spend too much time on them at this stage.

So a simple strategy that you could start with :

Grab 10 banners from top positions on tubes, replace the images on some of them, keep some intact. Rip 2-3 LPs and rotate those. Now select about 5 offers and start testing. The first thing is to find offers that do convert several times, ignore the random conversions... in other words, 1 conversion doesnt mean the offer is good, you need multiple ones.

Once you have a few offers that convert repeatedly, you can start focusing on the other parts of the funnel such as the LP and banners.

I will help you along the way, but get the creatives first so we can move from there.
