Low Payout Offer + High CVR + High Volume = Easy Profit

It´s time for a new campaign guide.

Or is it a case study?

Or maybe a campaign study or a case guide?

Campaign Guide vs Case Study

Ok, first things first.

Per my definition a campaign guide is when I post a guide about an active and ready-to-run offer.

A case study is for me when the campaign is over and not running anymore.

In other words: Campaign guide = still working, case study = probably not working anymore = not running anymore

And that´s the thing, here we have both situations together.

The offer is alive and kicking and is converting very good, nonetheless I don´t run it anymore.

The reason I don´t run it anymore is not that the offer is bad.

It´s rather the opposite, the offer is so good that I maxed out the total cap for the offer very fast and now I have to wait for the quality check.

Then I thought "Why not share it with the homies"

Before I started the guide I gave the offer to one more affiliate to make sure it wasn´t just pure luck for me and he also has good results - "desktop doesn't work as well as mobile, but Lo Med and Hi Q all work as you said" - so yup, I think it´s safe to post it

Let´s start with a juicy green image:

Details about the campaign:

Geo: Brazil
CPA Network: YTZ
Offer: 1706 Pin-Up Casino - 250 Free Spins - CPL
Payout: $0.30
Traffic: Propeller Ads Push
Creatives used: 1
Landing Page: Slot Machine
Cost: $88.637
Revenue: $198.30
Profit: $109.66

I found the offer recently when I was testing this and that and basically it has everything a good campaign for beginners (and everyone else) needs:

- Low payout
- High Conversion Rate
- High Volume
- Low CPC

My cap for the offer was $150 and it only took few hours to reach it.

Because I ran push traffic there were also many late clicks coming in so that from just 3 hours or so where the campaigns were running I made almost $200 revenue with $109 profit.

Without a cap it should be easy to run that offer at few hundred Dollars per day from the very beginning and I didn´t even start with optimization or splittesting or scaling.

I just ran one quick test to check for potential and when I saw that the offer is doing good I created separate campaigns for the different activity levels.

For the first test I used high activity level, global WL from many different campaigns with zones that had 20+ conversions, targeting Android.

For the creative I just grabbed a slot machine icon from Adplexity and as text for the creative (translated with Google translate) I used something like

Title: Congratulations
Text: You won 3 free spins

The landing page I used was just a standard slot machine lander that you can also find on Adplexity.

These are the results from the first test:

Then I created 6 new campaigns:

- High activity WL
- Medium activity WL
- Low activity WL
- High activity BL
- Medium activity BL
- Low activity BL

In these 6 campaigns I split tested the slot machine lander with another slot machine lander that had a slightly different wording.

Although the CVR from LP to offer was a bit higher on the new lander the CTR was so much lower that the overall CVR was worse.

The original lander outperformed the new lander by far so I continued with the original landing page.

I didn´t run much stuff in BR before so for blacklists and whitelists I used global ones from my push campaigns.

In the whitelists were only zones with at least 5 total conversions, for the blacklist I was pretty aggressive and added all zones that were at least $-1 in loss and had less than 0% ROI in the tracker across many campaigns.

Shortly after traffic started coming in I already had first conversions and then more and more conversions were coming.

Every few seconds a new conversion.

As you can see just before 1 am the traffic and conversions started and more than 50% of the conversions happened till 3 am.

I didn´t touch the campaigns at all and before I even started working on it I already had to stop the campaigns because it was clear that I would go over cap so I wanted to keep it at a reasonable level.

In the end I don´t even know what else I could tell about it, it was a very easy $100 profit and you can be sure when I receive positive quality feedback (fingers crossed) and a higher cap I will run it myself again

Follow These (3) Easy Steps Win:

- Get slot machine lander in Portuguese and slot machine icon
- Create campaigns and wait for traffic
- Profit

Few tips:

- As text on the landing page better use less aggressive wording.

"You can win 250 free spins" is better than "You have won $5k"

- I tested the offer only in BR but it also accepts RU and UA.
After this thread probably many users will run it in BR as well so go the extra mile and test it in the other geos as well.

- When you don´t have BL or WL yet just start with High activity and RON, collect stats, then use the data to run Medium activity with a BL, the Low activity BL

- When you have zones with several conversions run WL campaigns with these zones.
BR is huge and there´s lots of volume so even smaller WLs can already bring some traffic there

- When you use other trafficsources than Propeller test on other sources as well

If you don´t have an account at YTZ, here are the contact details from Kate Porter (Affiliate Manager):

Email: katep@ytz.com
Skype: kate.ytz

I hope you enjoyed the guide and profit from it.

When you have any questions or just want to show some green tracker stats - You´re welcome

Now grab a slot machine lander in, get a slot machine icon and start campaigns

How simple it looks, especially with so easy creative headline.. amazing what great offer can do with campaign..
Thanks for great Case study aka Guide..
Have to check how it works with POP

Don't run it on pops, run it on push for better quality.

Oh wow, very generous to share an offer that is still working, you're the man @twinaxe !

I'd say it doesn't get any easier than this to start for the new affiliates among us!

That's an awesome case study! Thanks so much for sharing. I appreciate it so much yet despair at how easy it is considering my lack of success in this arena a the moment.

How much money do you think you spent(lost) to create those WL and BL?

I'm in the process of testing out offers in LATAM. I've found that I'm losing (spending to build WL and BL) money (-50%) on average for each offer that I test. Now I know/assume that this will help for an offer in the future by removing all the shitty zones and finding the good ones in Propeller.

If I'm missing something, please feel free to point it out

Wowzers @twinaxe ! You are too kind. Always giving us free money

I can confirm this offer works really well.

I signed up to YTZ.

Got approved for the offer.

Translated my shitty slots lander into PT.

Used shitty slots creative from spytool... which was probably someone else who just used google translate for me.

Ran on Propeller Push. Tried them all: Mobile, Desktop, Hi, Med, Low, No Broker, With Broker.

I didn't even use a blacklist or whitelist.

Took me a bit longer than twinaxe , but I hit the cap by the end of the day.

$60 Profit.

Mobile, with Broker Traffic, Hi+Med Quality worked the best for me.

Totally agree.

Good question, I would say something between $6k-$9k or so.

Although I create such global lists from stats of many campaigns there are by far not all of my push campaigns included.

I have a rough rule set about what campaigns to use for the lists and run the reports from time to time again so that the lists also change over time.

Now I know/assume that this will help for an offer in the future by removing all the shitty zones and finding the good ones in Propeller.
Very important: Use only stats from successful campaigns.

I can confirm this offer works really well.
You know, when only one succeeds from the offer it´s already worth it

Thanks for the reply.

"Very important: Use only stats from successful campaigns."

I don't quite understand what you're saying here.

If I don't have any successful campaigns but have profitable zones from campaigns and really shitty zones from mediocre/barely losing campaigns then why can't I use those stats? I'm not building whitelists from these campaigns, but certainly blacklists. They are absolutely awful blood-sucking zones that have from multiple campaigns cost men plenty. Like 0 conversions, super low LP CTR, and big percentage of the budget spent on them. Surely I should permanently blacklist them?

Hey, thanks for the info, I really appreciate it
I also run propellerads push traffic, but on VAS offers mainly... Maybe I will try this new vertical after your "Campaign Guide".

Of course you can use whatever campaigns you want for it but the quality of a BL or WL is just as good as the data you feed it with.

I'm not building whitelists from these campaigns, but certainly blacklists. They are absolutely awful blood-sucking zones that have from multiple campaigns cost men plenty. Like 0 conversions, super low LP CTR, and big percentage of the budget spent on them.
I would rather do it the other way around.

Placements that convert in mediocre/bare losing campaigns will most probably also convert in good performing campaigns.

On the other hand there are placements that are not good in low performance campaigns but can be profitable in better converting campaigns.

For sure there are placements that fail hard in multiple geos and these placements should go to a global BL then.
There´s no need to throw money at low quality placements over and over again.

Nonetheless you can only really judge a placements quality when you test it in a good converting campaign.

That´s why I only use good campaigns to build my lists and I don´t even use all good campaigns for it.

One factor to use campaigns to build lists is also the amount of data the campaigns can give.

For example I also run CPS campaigns with payouts up to $80 and these campaigns sometimes run highly profitable at 200% ROI or so.

Despite the good stats I don´t use them to build my lists because the data/conversion amount is much lower than from lower payout campaigns and I rather use campaigns with dozens or hundreds of conversions instead of campaigns with high payout but only a handful of conversions.

You know, statistical significance and stuff

Really interesting insight about building WLs. Didn't think of it that way. Thanks!

Just writing on a guide how to build and use blacklists and whitelists in an effective way.

@twinaxe: I try to apply for this offer but my AM said there is no cap available. It seems too many people are already chasing this one after your post .

Oh yes, you gotta act fast with such opportunities. But maybe they will get more cap down the road so ask your AM to let you know in case they manage to get more cap

I also recommend to don´t give up on the offer and run it when there is new cap available.
