I need help :/ Team-based image-storing via url (does it exist?)

Hey everyone -

So I have what seems like should be an easy thing... but I can't figure it out for the life of me...

If someone can help me that would be amazing!

Here it is:

I'm trying to find a service where multiple members of a team can save images in one central place, and where those images can then be uploaded directly to the traffic sources when creating ads...

I have tried Dropbox, but when I copy the url of an image and try to paste it into Taboola or any other traffic source to load it via url... it doesn't work...

But isn't that the only way for it to be something where various team members can all use it separately?

Right now I just save images to my hard drive and then upload them to the traffic source from my hard drive... but I want a setup where a VA can find images or edit images and then upload them to our shared image-hosting service, and where I can then upload those images into the traffic source when creating ads.

I thought you had to do that via url(?)

Or am I misunderstanding and the way such things work is that everyone on the team downloads Dropbox onto their devices but everything within it is still shared because it backs up to the cloud?

I'm totally lost and I know this should be super easy so if anyone can save my from my misery I would appreciate it tremendously!

I know there are millions of online businesses that must have this exact setup but for whatever reason I am too dumb to figure out how it works! lol

Have you looked at Amazon S3 in combination with Cyberduck?

I remember there was a way to upload folder specific content in a static Amazon S3 path from a local folder in a form of synchronization or something. It has been a few years since I used it for the last time, but it should still be a valid option.

Might be worth having a look at the below links:
https://trac.cyberduck.io/wiki/help/en/howto/s3
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/transfer...sfer-file.html

Yup, most sources don´t allow to load creatives from a URL for security reasons.

But why do you try to use the Dropbox URL for it?

When the Dropbox folder is synced with a local folder you should be able to just choose that folder in the "select file" dialog and upload the files from there.

Then it´s still uploaded from a local file but you can sync it with many different people so that all have access to the same files.

Maybe I’m wrong but dropbox image URLs might not point directly to the file URL since they have to go through access related policies.

Ahhh so that's what I'm missing..

So basically, all these tens of thousands of online companies that use Dropbox for sharing files amongst team members just have each team member download Dropbox and sync it, and then the creative people just save the edited images/videos to Dropbox and the media buyers just upload those assets from Dropbox, and it all works because its synced to the cloud, rather than each person saving the files individually and separately to their own hard drive. Is that right?

@jack_l I don't know how others are doing it but that's how I did it with my VAs.

Just a shared and synced folder on Dropbox so that everyone has access to the same files in the folder.
