[Lead Gen] - How To Get To The Next Level?

[LeadGen Question]

I have been running a lead-gen agency for two years. Most of my clients are local (We did 20,000 leads last year, and local clients are happy). However, I feel like I do not have a big enough mindset, and I know people are running a much larger game. Local clients, have been great for cash flow, but it can be difficult to manage this type of client. I have a few national clients, but I'd like to see if I gain insight into what others are doing?

I have recently started running my local campaign through RedTrack and have contemplated scaling the local lead-gen side like an affiliate would but I still find I am new in this business.

Thanks

I enjoyed watching the replay of this speech from AW Asia 2016 a while a go. Maybe it will help you get some more ideas about your topic.

  • Is there a guide or someone who is doing it much bigger?
  • I would like to know what tools larger lead-gen folks use?

Thanks
If the leads you've been generating isn't too "niche": A lot of leads are being generated with sweepstakes offers. Here's some insight into this type of offers:

https://stmforum.com/forum/forumdisp...weepstakes-101

There are affiliate networks that make these offers available to affiliates, essentially being the middle-man between affiliates and the "advertiser" or the offer owner. The advertiser would then sell these leads to buyers.

There are also advertisers that work directly with affiliates.

If this sounds interesting to you, I would recommend that you do some "spying" of such funnels by signing up to various sweepstakes offers. Register a new email and new phone number for this purpose because you WILL receive spam. This way you'll see exactly HOW your contact info is collected, WHAT information is collected, and what types of companies / which specific companies will contact you (i.e. buyers of those leads).

It may also be good to talk to a couple of advertisers to see whether there are any collaboration opportunities, e.g. Fluent and Big Bang Ads. Perhaps you can be a middleman between the advertiser and lead buyers. I'm not familiar with this business enough, but reaching out to experts in this field to initiate conversations really can't hurt!

(Disclaimer: STM does not endorse any affiliate networks or advertisers - please proceed at your own discretion and risk.)

As for tools: I'm assuming you're talking about leads management / distribution tools? I've seen Leadspedia being used by a couple of advertisers, but they're quite expensive compared to other services. Here's a list of affordable ones:

Not quite sure which of those are good or not though.
