Will Paypal create problems with a sex toys store?

Will Paypal create problems with a sex toys store? I am told one cannot receive payments on Shopify for this niche. also, can you suggest any payment processor for this niche?

Paypal had a "no adult-related transactions" policy for quite a while, but at some point they changed this and now I see them listed as a payment option on several sites selling adult goods or subscriptions.

Check this for example: https://www.fleshlight.eu/ .... paypal works as an option there.

There might be limitations, actually I'm sure there are some, so better check with their support.

Anything other than paypal that works for this niche?

Yes they will 100%.

You can check porn sites, who they use for memberships. I believe CCBILL might work for you.
And reach out to a few porn merchant service providers! That's super easy way to find processor.

EPOCH, CCBILL come to mind. More on GFY.com

When choosing a biller, such as ccbill or the others that Atilla suggested, make sure you check their fees. Adult billers are great for high risk transactions, but some of them charge really high fees and that might be a problem in case you operate with low margins.

Browsing a few stores with similar inventory and checking who they use for processing would likely be the best idea

Here is an interesting article for you: https://www.cardpaymentoptions.com/c...sing-services/

That's helpful. But will these billers connect in someway with my Shopify store?

When it comes to flipping an adult store or a blog, is there a way to hide how exactly I got the money reflecting on my bank account? I mean currently I can get away with the affiliate network's name reflecting on the payment. So, if I am not using an adult network and using a general network that has adult offers, I can get away. Same with ecommerce sales... like it will only show who paid me and not what they bought. I live in a country that has a lot of sex taboo. It isn't illegal but I don't want to let the government know, just in case I stand for elections after five years and the opposition uses this, haha

Does Shopify even allow adult stuff?

When you receive a payment to your bank, they will only see who sent the money (so the company or private buyer) and whatever information the payee puts on the wire form... you can tell them to mention an invoice number, your name, contract number etc.. .there is no need to put any "adult" related info on the form. When using a service like flippa, that could be different, I have no idea whether they mention the name of the site sold, I wouldn't be surprised if they would. The best would be to ask them.

@matuloo yes, Shopify is fine. I checked with them. They have absolutely no issues (even with images!). Their policy is only against use of underage children in the images. Then I am careful with the images too and am using discrete ones, and careful not to be "vulgar" due to an archaic law in my home country. I have a disclaimer in place just to be safe in my country that the blog posts and the products are for educational purposes and are meant to enhance sexual experience, and there's no intention of a vulgar representation or obscenity.
I had quickly checked with empire flippers and they don't allow the sale of adult sites. I will check with flippa too as you advised. I don't want to hold on to the website. Want to flip it after a year or so.

You can also try to find a buyer on GFY, it's the largest adult-only forum, people are selling sites over there all the time. But the price you would get from a seasoned webmaster would likely be lower than you could get on a platform like flippa.

@matuloo great. I'll check both of them. And maybe do a bit of Google search too. Let's see what they have to say if I don't want my domain to surface in the transaction when I want to sell my website.

If you're worried about being scammed during the selling process, there are services you can use to protect yourself. Such as https://www.escrow.com/ ... it's a popular way of selling websites.

Ah well, I can't be a president anymore either, someone would definitely publish some of my dating related articles with "suggestive" screenshots

But you know what, I got a defense strategy prepared for such a case! I'd take the guy who outs my past to the nearest newsstand, likely with an older lady working as the sales clerk there, and ask them if they sell any magazines for men, which they definitely do! Then I'd ask if they think that just because she sells such material too, along with other stuff, she's not good enough to run for a political position, which they would likely not want to say. All that with cameras and news around... you can imagine the setup Im sure Bingo! My path to a political career has just been cleared Am I not clever? LOL
