Have own push panel.

Hi. I am new on STM. I noticed lots of people making $$$ with push notifications. So I decided to build my own push panel and start collecting tokens into my own server.
Is this a good idea? I never tried push before but I want to do that

I wouldn't start by building my own infrastructure at the beginning. You can use OneSignal to collect your own push subs.
https://onesignal.com/

They have a free account up to 10,000 subscribers.

Once you know what you are doing, it can be worth developing your own platform if you want to scale.

Jeremie is right, it's probably unnecessary work to code your own platform when there are several good ones out there.

Onesignal is probably the most known and their free program is great for testing.

I talked to a guy over skype the other day, they have this tool: https://pushfire.io/pricing with a free plan for up to 2000 subscribers.

Here is another one: https://www.webpushr.com/pricing with a free plan for up to 60000 subscribers, which sounds a bit too much, there might be some catch.

And here is a comparison table for several tools: https://www.webpushnotifications.com...l-alternatives

If you have a lot of traffic - why not sign up as a publisher to one of the push providers?

If you're adamant on building your own, then take a look at https://github.com/alexgibson/notify.js (Hasn't been updated, so you'll need to update the code)

Or push.js - https://pushjs.org/

These are standardized systems, so you'll have to build a proper wrapper around them to have an interface.

Some time ago I bought Pushmaze to have my own platform.

I had some issues with it, opened few support tickets but never heard back from them so I gave up on it.

Tip: Then better get used to run push traffic first, learn more about the traffic before you spend time and money on something where you just think it´s a good idea to do it

When I see statements like this from their website "Our highly affordable plans are backed by a 500% ROI* guarantee" I am a bit reluctant to use it.

As you said, with 60k free subs plus such a statement there has to be a catch somewhere.

Yup, sounds fishy for sure. 60k is way to much, they are probably sending some notifications to the collected audiences themselves, or else it doesn't make sense.

Does OneSignal allow survey style landing ads? I tried looking through the terms and couldn't find anything related to this. So I guess I could be ok?

They do prohibit to promote and send messages about certain topics, but it's the usual "no hate, adult stuff, illegal content..." stuff. As for the style or layout of the landers that you are going to send the visitors to, they shouldn't really care much.

Thank you so much for your reply!

We have a specific push platform for affiliate marketers: cloud-based, familiar for all affs tokens(you can pass tokens with a sub and get them back with a click), an interface like in any push ad network, widgets, ready-made prelanders, a subscription script with redirects until the user subscribes and other handy tools. Try it, I think you will like it: https://pushflow.net/

@pushflow

Would be great to get more infos about your service.

I checked your website but there are also not that many infos.

Maybe you can make a thread HERE and tell more about Pushflow, post some screenshots from the interface and so on.

@twinaxe - did you end up retrying pushmaze or was it a total dud? And if so, is there an alternative platform you would recommend for owning push subscription list?

I had some issues with it and the support didn´t reply to my ticket anymore.

No replies from support often looks like the project is abandoned so I didn´t bother to continue with it.

Hello everyone,

If you have a huge database of subscribers, it's time-consuming to make your own push service. Here I would recommend SmartPush as an easy-to-use tool to retarget your visitors via push notifications.

One of our biggest advantages, in addition to the rich feature set, is our pricing model. What's unique in our pricing model is that it does not charge you for the number of subscribers. Instead, it calculates how many push messages have been delivered to your subscribers, and you pay for the actual result only.

If you want to try out our service, you can sign up here: https://smartpush.ai/freetrial/.
Also, find more about our features here: https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...from-smartpush

Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
