Monetising Customer Email List - Anyone tried with Shopify emails?

I have around 10k customers dating back to May on old Shopify store. Most have opted in to marketing and I haven't sent them anything but thank you emails. The good is that they are familiar with brand and test sending 500 of them a promotion even 6 months later from order gave me decent open + ctr rate, bad news is email promotions didn't convert as they had bad experience with store + products, I believe. Has anyone in similar situation tested spamming these types with affiliate offers until they unsubscribe, as I have accept marketing and familiarity for them not to dismiss email. Also what type of setup would you opt for this as I know Klaviyo does not allow this?

Would you mind revealing the niche? Maybe we can identify some relevant affiliate programs to promote to this lot!

As for the actual execution: I haven't had to import/export mailing lists across platforms so don't have good advice there. I do see that mailing clients provide the option of importing Shopify contacts - but not sure whether it'd be legal to hit them with emails that aren't relevant to the product you were selling. May be good to contact some of these email clients to find out what their rules and restrictions are.

If you start sending standard affiliate offers (sweeps, vouchers, casino etc...) to people who subscribed to get updates from a Shopify store, they will start to unsubscribe on a large scale, which is not the biggest concern, but they will start to complain and depending on what email service you will use for this, you could get kicked off of it.

Honestly, sounds like a waste to me, these users are likely targeted, you know what they were interested into, many (all?) of them actually bought from you so you know they could buy more... why not use them properly and try to sell them something similar to what you originally sold on the store?
