What's the way to retarget in the adult and other niches Facebook does not like?

Are you looking to retarget actual visitors of facebook and send them to offers that FB doesnt allow, or are you asking whether some other networks allow retargeting, for example adult networks?

Since you mentioned adult, I have tried to use retargeting features of exoclick (adult network), but my results didn't improve that much, sometimes it was even worse than without retargeting and the volumes were rather low. But yes, there are other networks outside of FB that do have retargeting function, though not as advanced as FB.

The setup is similar to FB, you have to place a piece of code into your LPs or websites and build your retargeting audience this way.

No, I don't want to involve Facebook in any way for the banned niches, including adult. I think given the nature of the niche - adult -retargeting may not be helpful. I mean checking the pic of a woman holding an erectile dysfunction pill is the same be it an original advert or retargeted. The interest level is the same for the cold traffic and warm traffic. And going through the entire sales cycle of awareness, consideration, conversion because the product solves a buyer problem maynot hold in case of adult niches or your specific campaigns. But again that's an assumption and the better results with Facebook could be because of Facebook showing the ads to really interested buyers or "something that helps."
What are the networks besides exoclick that allow this? I think I can check with adnium too. I had bought about $150 worth of ads that I never used. So, I can check with the manager too.

I started to use retargeting on exoclick, to test a theory that users that I manage to label with a "pixel" won't be BOTs for sure, but in the end some bots got through anyways and the volumes were very low compared to standard campaigns, so I stopped doing it.

The problem with adult retargeting is, that standard adult campaigns do not do much in terms of filtering the users... they basically click on a banner with a female they like, so that's pretty much the only thing I know about them. The networks do not provide age, interest, gender or any other data so it's not like you can use these audiences to build lookalikes. It's far from what FB can do. So I have my doubts about the effectiveness in retargeting in adult in general. Maybe for a more specific niche, such as ED, it would work better... never tried that so can't really comment.

One way or another, you won't know until you test it in your particular case, so why not try?

Yeah, I also wanted to know that 3-4 years ago..... It is possible, depending on your setup, what sources you work with etc.... And there are many scenarios with re-targeting.
