I dont know what Im doing. Every campaign that I create just throws money away so I am going to post all details of my campaign and hopefully get the insight that I need.
The offer : BlackPeopleMeet.com - yea more dating
The Demographic : USA, Males, 35-39, single interested in females, speak all english
Landing page : Direct linking - seemed a bit obvious
I have sent about 140 clicks to the offer, I have 12 signups. The payout is 4$ so it looks like it could be a decent offer, but I dont know what direction to go in from here.

For my ads, I had about 120 images total, about 80 were approved and I ran two headlines to get about 160 ads total give or take.
You need to get your CPCs down. So focus on getting your CTRs up. Also your campaign looks very default. Do some research into your offer, find out what their prime demographic is. Maybe try a campaign that targets a black majority state. Or use keywords that might target black people.
Your problem at the moment is you are advertising to too many people who are just not interested in black dating. You need to hone in on the interested folk. Once you do that CTRs will go up. CPCs down. CRs up.
Should I split test the states? Maybe east versus west?
Look into this http://www.statemaster.com/graph/peo...ion-per-capita maybe try to target the top 5 for starters.
Also try another campaign targeting women.
Should he be doing a landing page and making it specific to his keywords that hes targeting? Would you do something like that instead?
Not sure how profitable that will be but im sure it will get clicks... maybe like target some black rapper and say "Girls Love Lil Wayne" for example and in your ad copy say meet girls that love lil wayne as much as you do on Blackpeoplemeet etc...
Would that be better? Then for the images not sure how creative you can get with girls and lil wayne lol, so maybe just use black girls like you were doing.. any input mr green?
since now that my name is in red.....I give-ith to ye ideas a plenty.....

don't let the post deceive you.....Its worth the read...
Congrats on becoming a mod polarbacon! You definitely deserve it for all the helpful posts.
Insider tip they dont want you to know... use pictures of people that resemble black celebs... oh shit is that Kanye... I can date Kanye better sign up
A few things,
-Use keywords for niche dating like that.
-Why are you targeting upside down and pirate languages?
-Think, do people really like interracial dating?
Ok so how about this:
Want to Date Kanye?
(kanye pic)
Landing page: Date Kanye Right Now! (Kanye's Ugly Face) and a Iframe of the sign up form. Make tonz of monies, but then not get paid by advertiser because of 0 conversions on their end. So how does Kanye/celebs help again? Please explain lol.
I'm unsure what else could contain a brain like that.
wow the two url alone by Mr Green and PolarBacon gave me so much insights to research on. Thanks guys!
OK so what I follow is
Do some research to nail down some keywords to target sites such as the ok cupid blog that was listed.
Drop the interracial angle
Split test states
Try some celebrity look-a-like images
Hey Oneano I feel your pain and I was running that same offer and was able to break even. I have learned a bunch of great information since March when I was running that campaign. I am still definitely new to the industry and I still have yet to have a steady daily profit but I know that as long as I keep pushing it will eventually start to all come together. I would just like to share my campaign with you guys. Ok I know I went very broad with my age 30-60 and my CPC’s are way to high but I have since learned to break up my age targets. I still struggle to get low CPC’s but I know that it goes hand and hand with CTR which I have never had a .500 CTR to date. I picked this niche offer because I felt that I knew black people well enough to come up with great keywords. I think I did pretty well with those because my biggest focus was making sure that only black men would see the ads. Now I know that is hard to do and you cannot guarantee that only black men will be the ones seeing the ads 100%. However, I feel you can with any minority niche get pretty close to 100% by really keying in on targets. I ran this ad targeting all Historical black colleges and the student associations by doing a Google search and getting all the schools since these schools are historically black only it would make since that most of the enrolled students would be black, I also targeted controversial black figures that most whites and other non-blacks would not list as an interest because people like Dr. King and Ali are inspirations for people of many races but these people are less likely to be ie Malcolm X, Travis Smiley, Cornel West, AL Sharpton, etc. I used other keywords like black is beautiful, black power, black love, black history, black women,Nubian etc. I know I got lucky getting my image approved by FB but I had a few other images that where more conservative that also at least broke even. I hope my target ideas help some like I said I am still a noob lol Sorry for such a long post but I tend to ramble oh and by the way this is my very first post . I just joined the forum so wish me luck man everybody here is so cool and I feel like I just found the Holy Grail of Affiliate information.[IMG]

great share but pls make your post readable
If you're doing black dating or any type of niche dating then you definitely need to use relevant keywords/interests to laser target your demo or else you'll lose a ton of impressions on a broad demographic of people who just aren't interested in that particular type of dating, fewer clicks over more impressions = low ctr = higher cpc
I don't think you necessarily have to drop the interracial angle but maybe figure out a different approach to it.
There are ton of things you can split test for niche dating, including states/geo, keywords/interests, gender, age, images, headlines, ad copies, etc... I wouldn't start by split testing states though, but thats just me. Split test a bunch of images till you find one that gets you a good CTR, split test LOTS of images, some images may surprise you.
You don't absolutely need to find celebrity look-a-like images, just images in general that pop and are attention grabbing, remember you're competing with a ton of other images that the FB user is viewing, including slutty pics of his/her friends. Find a WTF! picture that will get the click but is somewhat relevant to your offer.
Sorry about that guys.
