Custom Origin as a Hostgator VPS on Amazon Cloudfront Distribution

I am having trouble distributing the content hosted on my HostGator VPS server through Amazons Cloudfront.

From reading the documentation I believe I have to make my private server the custom origin point for the distribution.

But I have no idea how to configure it properly - The cloud front documentation is not supper helpful for this set up.

Anyone have any resources they can point to or advice?

If you wish to save yourself some time just set your domain up on the Cloudflare.

It's free and it's just working out of the box with little prior configuration.

Here are my page rules for the landing pages domain:

Yes, agree with @plutus. If you are just looking for a CDN in front of your VPS, go with CloudFlare, it is free and way less complicated.
Go to www.cloudflare.com and follow the steps

If you need to use CloudFront for a particular reason, let us know what you want to achieve so that we can help.
