Can someone place a malicous script on my website?
When I started out I was warned not to rip off landers if I don't have a good knowledge of javascript because those who have put in the hard work to create the lander may ensure that it does not go waste. Often leave a script that steals commission from those who rip off.
But is it is possible that someone can do it to my website too? Like if I ask a reputed tracker to install tracking on my website, can they install some malicious code to cause harm?
Or am I getting paranoid for no reason at all?!

You are paranoid for no reason at all.
There worst things you can have injected in malicious js is:
a) malicious redirect to another domain if X conditions are met (for example if brand=samsung but you can basically form this condition as you wish, based on domain, isp etc)
b) malicious push subscription script that points so someone else ad - this way someone get free views and cash out of you
c) malicious js that replaces your click urls with different url
If it comes to tracker installing something - this would really harm their business in a major way.
If they would just do it to 1% of the users, after some time they would end up on someone more techy that can detect it.
Gains in that case are really not worth the ruined reputation and thousands of man-hours spent on development and thousands of dollars spent on the advertisements.
They earn far more by keeping their business as secure as possible.
Building a client trust is a formidable task, but losing one can happen easily.
You can always reset your passwords to access your server (ssh/panel ones) to make everything more bullet-proof.

You are.
Even if you leave a script on a page, it might cost you some money, but it is not going to ruin everything. You still learn how to optimize.
And you will end up throwing that lander away after finding others that convert better.
As far as someone hacking your website, the probability is quite low...
