Any who has used sumo paid version please can you share your experiences? It's a pretty famous and useful piece of software but I see it seems to REALLY slow down site speed. Is there a way out?

I did buy it for a few months in 2013-2014 when they started to offer paid subscriptions (was less costly back then). I share your opinion. It is a big bulky toolbox targeting small business owners who want everything integrated: a bit of A/B test, email optin... But at the end of the day, you use 1-2 functions, and it is not worth 500 USD a year, as you can buy plugins that do the functions you need for less than 100 USD.

This said, the company is worth studying, because their acquisitiion strategy, and the eco system they created is really well designed.

I have nothing important to add.

Their exit intent pop up and heat maps were/are really well done.

But yes, slow af.

However, if you don’t need speed, its a nice little suite of free plugins.

Most of their plugins can be done with some freely available JavaScript or free/paid WP plugins now.

I have entered into a deal with them for a 50 per cent discount. So, not too bad as far as the price is concerned. On top of that I get to try the paid version for 30 days for free.
Thanks for sharing your insights.

Speed is a concern because Google SEO is dependent on speed of the site. Let's see...
My immediate use will be with push traffic though on Shopify blog posts.
