Video & Text : 4 Basic/Essential Facebook Ads Hacks

So after a lot of consultations I’m doing I started seeing some patterns of how accounts really work, when people pay higher prices and how to avoid those stuff, here’s my top quick-fb wins, now these aren’t stuff that Facebook would approve or stand behind, and these are also likely to change over time because it looks like Facebook is changing its algorithm all the time, but these are at least are true-for now.
- Make Sure You Spend More than 200$ / Day
when you’re spending less than 200$ a day you might start to convert on a really low CPA sometimes, but the campaign is highly likely to drop in impressions, volume or really have an un-stable CPA, the main reason is that the algorithm needs at least 7-8 conversions per day, but also because of a few other stuff- from getting engagement under your posts and from just letting the system understand that you’re a scalable player, it’s almost like Tim burd’s bully method – you need a high bid and budget to push your way in, especially in Q4 times.
- Get 5000 Likes / Followers on your page
So there are 2 reasons for that:
For those – more experienced marketers out there – you might remember that back In the days, maybe in 2014 – there was a feature to push ads that were “story ads” these were not stories at we know them today – these ads were amazing because it looked like your friends who also like the page are recommending it to you – that means that you would’ve seen “tammy also likes this brand” and then you would see the ad, these were an amazing type of ads that worked obviously really good and that’s the main reason for why I think that you need to get likes under your page- Facebook recognizes the people who like the page and is highly more likely to push ads to friend of people who like the same pages and whom are under the same targeting.
The second reason, is that the connection between ads accounts and pages is now stronger than ever and relates to how Facebook really views you as an advertiser, you’ve all seen how under-rated pages are getting strikes on the Facebook ads accounts and pay higher CPMs, and this also works with policy issues when you’re doing anything greyish that might trigger the bot that checks the ads, so for those reasons I really recommend getting a decent number of likes under your page.
- Make sure your ads are a scroll stopper – Facebook measures these
We’ve all seen that and how Facebook measures Engagement rates, conversion rates and general quality ranking, so they measure the pre-click stuff and the post-click stuff, among a lot of stuff- they measure how many people actually stop and look at your ad, you could look at it as a pre-CTR metric that’s super important, and when you’re designing your stuff – make sure you have that in-mind.
- Use images that make people smile – kids, animals if possible, in general, anything that would provoke a good, positive response from users.
that’s one of the most known ones – facebook’s algo is so smart that it knows most of the times what the pictures is all about -if it’s an animal, if it’s a person, and the algo is more likely to prefer a smiling person, a/b test that.
