Keywords in landing pages for Google Adwords

Hey,

Would you recommend creating separate landing pages that contain different keywords for different ad sets in Google Adwords?

Or do you stuff all keywords into one landing page and use it for all ads?

Many Thanks!

As far as my concerned, it depends of the competition. If i can get a good enough quality score with one page to achieve the CPC I want, i will do one page. If not, i try a dedicated page per keyword topic

On top of what jeremie mentioned, there is this thing about staying consistent throughout the whole promo funnel. Doesn't matter if its google ads traffic or something else. In many cases, the best results are achieved when you carry on the ad message all the way from the ad, through the landing page to the offer itself.

So in case of adwords, since the keyword is what triggers the Ad, it is a good idea to have it on the LP too. This is obviously different from one case to the next, sometimes the keywords used are so closely related to the landing page's copy, that it's pointless to try and list them on the LP again. To put it simple, I would definitely put the most important keywords on the LP too.

Thanks for your advice. To double check, as long as I add a canonical URL for the duplicated similar landing pages with different keywords, it won't hurt the SEO, right?

Your initial question is about making variants for Google Adwords to boost your quality score (QS). Now you talk about SEO. These are 2 different purposes.

If you do minor variations for QS, you will most probably have duplicated content on most pages, and probably your site only need one page for visitors to see.
What I would do in this case is put a no-index instructions on all the variants that don't need to be indexed and are just there for Adwords purpose.

OR

Create unique pages around the keywords, because they focus on different user intent, and therefore the content need to be really different.

There is a debate about no-index vs canonical. I prefer to have less pages indexed. But if you think your content is unique enough to be indexed, you can go with canonical
