Ok,
So im no baller yet
but Im making a steady 200-300 or so profit every day on a few campaigns on Adwords/etc so these, im imagining will be quite stable.
200+ bucks a day eh, i want to scale till i hit around 1k a day or more
I have around 50k in the bank, cash saved up. What would you do in my scenario to reach my goal the best and fastest way?
Also please dont just say "media buys" or "fb". Give me some details, plan of action etc would be great/ recommend actual media buy agencies and what offers/campaigns to run.
First thing I would do vidivo if you havent already tried this is:
1) scale internationally on Google Adwords
2) scale using the content network if yours is search, or the other way around
3) scale using bing / 7search
If you have campaigns that work, and sales funnels that convert with +ve ROI, the quickest way to earn more is to scale the mother!
Next would be PPV
You know the keywords that convert and have +ve ROI.
Start testing PPV on the top 10 sites that show up in the SERPS.
Bid on the domains, and the domains of competitors showing up in adwords search.
If your campaign is content network, then you know the placements that convert.
Bid on those using PPV.
See what else is running on those sites (shortcut by using Adbeat or WhatRunsWhere)
Bid on those URLs as well.
Anyway - i think thats enough to get on with for now.
Let me know if you have any further questions or if I got anything wrong.
Personally, I'd take a bit of that 50k and play around with a few various traffic sources, see what you get the hang of/ what 'clicks' for you (as I've said before, personally I'm great with some sources and not with others, but I'd never have found out if I didn't test them all...). I've found POF is the easiest to teach someone on personally but takes work to keep making money and its not a ton (with high competition) - Ben will probably jump in here and then send me AIMs later telling me he hates me
Scale... Scale... Scale.... You have something that's working, which is more than most people, so why don't you try to scale without doing any shady. If you can't scale volume, scale profit. Work on negative keyword lists/negative site lists. Take the campaign to similar platforms like bing, use the content network there's a ton of volume here.
Invest a bit into some tools to help you along (I may be a bit biased here considering that we're in that biz), get every bit of competitive intel you can and USE it. Don't just sit around and be like I have this info, use it and test with it, work on improving and never stop testing.
Finally, Diversify a bit. Everyone thinks their campaigns will be around forever. The truth is they won't. Try to create a few other stable $100-200 a day campaigns so incase your "money maker" goes down, you have other campaigns to fall back on until it comes back up.
Some pretty random thoughts there but hope they help.
Thanks for the replies guys I'll definitely give them a try.
A few other things though...
All of my campaigns are primarily for US, I think some I can get for Canada etc but for a lower payout. Im running a a good campaign with Adcenter, with a landing page, but wouldn't dare to try it on Google since id get slapped. Id have to make a full fledged site for adwords and I dont think if I direct linked it would be profitable nor get approved. Is it easier to get approved in the content network?
Also I cant seem to get the content network/display to work on adwords. My main thing I dont get is how to set up the keywords/themes for each ad group. All i do is take my main general keyword for my campaign and stick it into google keyword tool, then grab the top 50 keywords and thats my first ad group... etc etc. Am i doing it wrong? I know this isnt ppc / search so the keywords are general and relevant to my theme right?
Whats a better way to do it?
Also will try Pof, as I did try fb but couldnt get cheap clicks with the niche im in..
Thanks!
Content network - The way I ran this was filtering out bad sites (and obviously bad keywords) through site reports with lots of BROAD keywords (related to the theme). Approval is the same as in search, guidelines are the same. It also takes some time for Content network to start running as their approval queue especially for images can be a lot longer.
In terms of adgroups on google, always stay tight around 5 kws or less highly relevant per ad group and have content on page if possible.
Also site specific targeting on content requires much higher bids than if you hit them with kws as google wants to be sure they're getting the highest eCPM possible for the ads they serve.
POF is all ctr based baby, dating works best there though, so you have to think of a unique angle for any other type of niche.
So with the content network you just use around 5 kws per ad group? can you give me an example of a few ad groups you'd make in a niche so I get an idea of how to start? ive made a few but i get almost no traffic every time, so not sure how to get the traffic that everyone is talking about with the content network.... Thanks!
Use the adwords desktop tool, has an auto sorting feature, will organize it for you...
That sorts them into ad groups for search campaigns since it picks the most closely related kws and puts them together.. content network i was told you have to group kws by similar themes yet i was never able to do this i guess...
are you tracking all your stuff? If not I suggest to start tracking everything since you are on PPC. Them, you can get rid of non performing keywords and get more profits.
lol thanks but yes im tracking
Yeah. Keep your Display network AGs tight.
Say you're running toaster traffic:
AG 1: Stainless Steel Toasters - Contains 2 kws: stainless steel toaster and stainless steel toasters
AG 2: Counter Top Toasters - Contains 2 kws: counter top toaster and counter top toasters
Or you can use a tool like speed ppc to make single kw AGs and just upload a shitload of them using the AW Editor...You can build a 500 AG Display campaign in 15 min or less.
Hope that helps.
