Twitter Ads - anyone? Hungry for knowledge, willing to diversify from FB
What's up good people!
I'm a newbie (5 months in) affiliate, taking my baby steps in a niche that has been working well for me on FB.
However, lately due to the massive purge, I wanted to explore other traffic sources, Twitter specifically.
Does anyone know any good places to start, any resources, apart from what's widely available on YT?
I know my niche should perform well on Twitter, from the Account Manager who has been very helpful so far.
Any hints, tips or any type of information will be beneficial at this point.
Many thanks in advance and keep grinding fellow Affiliates!

I'm not sure Twitter traffic will be very good when compared to visual sources like Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok. You can take twitter like a customer service with lots of rants, so one sees lots of sledging there. I personally haven't used twitter ads, but maybe if others have benefited they can help. But since you're looking for alternative traffic sources, pinterest is just great. On a personal level, I would rate Instagram as
#1 but since FB owns Instagram I'm not sure you'd be interested.
Please understand that Facebook video views are cheap because they are competing with youtube, so may tap into that.

I ran some PPC campaigns on Twitter in 2010 or 2011.
At this time I couldn´t buy the traffic on Twitter directly so I had to buy through platforms like revtwt.
But I would be interested in some current info about Twitter ads as well

Sparked a discussion, that's already a good sign
Thanks @everyone for contributing so far.
From what I learned and heard so far, there are some bottlenecks on the platform, such as time it takes Twitter to enable "Twitter Ads option" (~ 2 weeks if you post, retweet and basically farm your account right) then the spend level is increased gradually, week by week I think. But these are non-existent cons if you think about it long term.
Also I heard that the real game changer is when you get a managed account (not sure if that's the exact term), where it's like a real person/ your AM/ partner from the Twitter side, who can adjust your bid, which in turn leads to much more meaningful (lower) cpc's etc.
But that's me going a bit off the track from the main question.
Anyone else had some experience or maybe came across some guides on the basics of Twitter Ads?
Btw, I love how supportive this community and some of the folks here are, joining stm was definitely one of the best decisions ever on my AM path!!

That's good to know because others don't seem to allow crypto.

I am gonna run Twitter ads in a month or so. I am working on getting Twitter agency ad account. And already have a tool that helps to optimize traffic since Twitter cannot do it well.
I am gonna drop a case study later

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's eager to see your case study! Looking forward to it!

How did Twitter ads work out for you?

I see TONS of content arbitrage on Twitter...
Maybe check out Shinez... they have an affiliate content-arbitrage model where you send people to content-arb funnels and get a cut of the ad revenue...
I think other stuff could work too... maybe stuff targeting young people like Aspiration Debit Card... or else stuff targeting older folks like a Gold IRA lead-gen form or something...
Overall though I don't know much about twitter ads and haven't heard of alot of affiliates having success with them...
With that said, I think Twitter ads are probably a great area to go into, but you may end up being able to make more from doing agency work and consulting versus running affiliate offers.
No way to know without trying though so dive in!
PS I think building twitter accounts via paid ads is another strategy I see a lot and have heard people succeeding with... you could build an account focused on some topic (Boston Terriers, Crypto, Aquarium Fish, Cash Back Credit Cards, etc) and then once you build it up big, you could then tweet out like one affiliate link for ever 20 regular tweets you do. I bet this would work especially well in Tier 3 markets where people aren't quite as cynical about product recommendations.

That is also my experience, so I was assuming Twitter Ads are really cheap at the moment?
They used to be rather expensive, ran them for a client and they converted like FB ads but the CPC was rather high (think it was 2015)

Well, I wouldn't assume they're cheap just because of that... there's tons of content-arb on native and facebook too...
But I would guess Twitter is a less-efficient marketplace vs those though, so there are likely some pockets of traffic that are extremely cheap (in certain countries I mean).
