Hey guys,
I have a big problem with facebook. Yesterday I was getting a lot of paypal mails and then i noticed somebody logged in to my ad account and spent about 800 € on his ads. This guy set all his ads to 10000€ a day spending. Luckily the account got banned due to unusual activity.
All this happend after a I clicked on a FB TikTok ad and registered for a ad bonus for Tiktok Business.
I already reached out to the support hoping to get a refund. And i have blocked Facebook for my paypal account.
So my question is how do i delete the ad accounts when they are banned(or turn off of the ads)? I dont want facebook to reopen then and the ads are automatically starting again and running on 10K per day without even knowing
.
Have you had similar issues?
Dominik
This is crazy! And an eyeopener for us. You should be getting your money back since it's PayPal.
The hacker looks like a "crooked genius" -he has nothing to lose as he still got the 800 euros worth of traffic.
Facebook was banning my ad account every time I ran an ad till I enabled 2 Factor authentication after their support asked me to do it. I was upset then. Now, it looks scary indeed.
Thanks for all your answers! I have never been so happy that my ad account got banned
.
So paypal said that they can not refund the payments this has to be done by facebook. But i have removed all direct debit authorizations from facebook so they can not debit anymore from my account.
Now i am waiting for facebook to reply.
This shows how important it is to secure your accounts and password enough even if its annoying.
P.s. heres one of the ad these bas****s created in my account.

Yes, there is a TikTok scam going on. I found it reported on a Facebook ad group a couple of weeks ago.
Look at the ad:

Notice something?
Spelling is wrong...
"TikTok For Business" is the official page:
https://www.facebook.com/TikTokForBusiness
This one spells "TikTok ForBusiness" and is fake:

The guy changed the name and immediately start to run ads. Then the page is banned, and they restart with an other one. See another one on @domi835 post above (they did not spell TikTok right on this one).
You're not alone, several people have been scammed like this lately. FB did refund some of them!
Here is an article from someone who experienced the same thing: https://github.com/Niek/Niek/blob/ma...scam/README.md
Definitely talk to FB support asap!
@domi835 Right! It's Facebook that charged you and for something that happened on their portal. So, they should be the one to refund. This is a rare case where we see someone happy with their Facebook account banned.
Yeah this TikTok scam ad is literally at the top of spy tools and going viral. I fell for it too, but as soon I fell for it I quickly went in to my fb setting and removed them from accessing my ads manager because I instantly realized that I fell for a scam.
Whenever I see scammy shit like that I always think who actually falls for that? Now I am one of those people lol.
