How to earn more traffic to a consumer electronics e-commerce store

Hi,

Am newbie here on STM Forum and would appreciate advice from community.

just wondering on best way to drive traffic to consumer electronics e-commerce store ? it may be a specific category but we are competing with several major brands on the product category that I am in.

Would it be email marketing list, SEO or specific traffic niche from STM affiliates? appreciate lots on who can help.

Hello,

technically, all the options you listed could work, plus more

1. SEO: this is a must, the traffic is "free" so not trying to get it would be silly
2. Affiliates: this could work, in case you can offer a HEFTY commission. If the commission is small, mediabuyers cannot promote your products effectively. But still, there are affiliates with organic traffic and they might be interested. You can also try to list your products/offers with some affiliate networks, such as shareasale or commissionjunction
3. Email: email traffic is traditionally of high quality, so if you can find owners of lists that would be related to your products, it could work very well. Try to look at email-specific traffic sources, such as liveintent... they might have something for you

But there are other options:

4. Facebook: this is the top traffic source for many ecommerce stores, are you using it? With the right targeting, it can sell really well. Just make sure you're not breaking their rules, they LOVE to ban accounts
5. Native: certain products can sell well with native traffic too (outbrain, taboola, revcontent...) especially those that cater to a broad audience, if you have something like that, definitely give it a go.

Welcome to the forum btw, nice to have you around

Matej.

Adwords would work too. Google shopping ads is working well for an e-comm store as well

Yup, solid option too. Facebook marketplace could be "exploited" a bit too.

Another great one would be all the other independent price comparison websites, I'm sure there are several ones in every country. Even in a tiny country such as mine, there are 3 active ones right now. The there are classifieds portals/websites... craigslist clones pretty much, these can work great too.
