I met her in Moscow last year and I am really happy that she also shares her oppinion with us.
Maria, for the users who don´t know you yet, can you tell a few words about you?
Hello, I am Maria, I have been working at Alfaleads performance marketing agency for 2 years, my current role is an affiliate and advertiser account manager.
I am usually busy looking for the best converting dating offers from direct advertisers so our affiliates could monetise their traffic the most effective way. I also support both affiliates and advertisers, I like to talk to people a lot and help them out with whatever needed.
Can you now tell few words about Alfaleads so that we all know what it is about?
Alfaleads is a performance marketing agency, specializing in integrated approach in affiliate-marketing
Our top verticals are iGaming, Dating, Betting, Finance, Games and others.
Recently we’ve started to develop Dating and Finance verticals, and we’ve already got some really nice offers on exclusive terms. For beginners I’d recommend dating, stick to offers with a simple Cost Per Lead flow. Those are relatively easy to convert. Dating offers also work well with mostly any traffic source. Affiliate’s creatives do not need to be approved. That all makes it a perfect vertical to start from!
What´s the best way for a beginner to get accepted at Alfaleads?

What trends do you see, what´s hot and what is going slow?
We see very little demand for offers in Nutra vertical, but increasing demand in Dating, Finance and iGaming.
Let´s talk about geos, are there specific geos that you would recommend?
For dating I can definitely say that top geos are DE, FR, ES, US, AU, Latam and Russia. They are well for any traffic types!
When beginners make first profits, what could you do to help him keeping the biz running?
Usually when beginners generate stable profit with stable quality of traffic for a short period of time, an advertiser bumps rates and removes capping, moreover in order to keep partner’s cash flow healthy, we could shorten a payout period.
What shall we do when our AM takes too long to reply, how do you handle it on Alfaleads?
Well, it usually doesn't happen, but if that happens I would recommend to contact another AMs.
In our case we also have a support team that is available 24/7.
How do you decide how much time you're going to dedicate to an affiliate?
There is no time limit really, as much as it takes to assist.
What geos do you recommend for affiliates who run your offers and why do you recommend it?
Depending on a vertical, according to my experience, the best converting GEOs in dating area are DE, AT, CH, US, UK, AU, RU
for Gambling offers the best converting GEOs are CZ, RU, PT, AU, CL
People from those countries are risk takers I would say
What verticals and conversion flows are best (easiest) for beginners, what verticals and conversion flows are best for maximum revenue?
Talking about beginners, the best vertical to start is dating with CPL SOI flow, it’s quite easy to get leads there.
For maximum revenue gambling offers is what you need.
Payouts might be up to 200$ and it’s often not capped.
How can the conversion quality be improved so that affiliates don´t have to deal with quality issues?
Talk to your AM, especially if you start to deliver significant volume.
We try to help with optimization and tend to provide data so an affiliate can make their decision more accurately.
We share best targeting options such as age of users, city, time zones, etc,.
How can we find the best offers on Alfaleads?
Again - talk to your account manager.
Request top performing offers in a vertical you are interested in, ask directly what is killing right now, we are always keen to help.
What´s your opinion about fresh offers vs proven offers that received lots of traffic already?
Test, test and test it again that is my opinion.
Proven offers might work well, but a new offer can be just two times better, and without testing you will never find it.
I would usually suggest to reserve 10% of your traffic for testing new offers.
Then data will say.
Let´s switch from beginners to successful affiliates, do you see a pattern with your most successful affiliates that could help beginners as well?
From what I see successful affiliates test a lot even if they have profitable and stable campaigns, they also tend to stay up to date with what is happening right now in the industry ( eg. conferences, forums, etc)
What would you like to say beginners that could help them on their way?
It doesn´t have to be something specific, can be anything that comes to your mind.
Well basically don’t expect results straight away, enjoy the process.
Even if you fall you are gonna learn so much on the way!
Network as much as it’s possible, chat, read, ask questions.
