What is your CTR on Taboola Ads in UK and DE?
Hey,
I was wondering what CTR is considered to be a good rate. My current Taboola ads have a CTR of 0,50%, which sounds very low to me. Geo is UK.
Unfortunately I can't be too clickbaity on Taboola as they reject my ads then.
What CTR do you have in UK and DE?
Do you have any tips for me?
Here are my headlines. The product is an IQ test:
- UK’s average IQ Score is only 98. What is your score?
- This was the smartest gorilla with an IQ of 85. Test your IQ immediately.
- 1 ultimate test to check how clever you are in only 5 minutes (try it now)
Any help is appreciated.
Best
Lukas

It's hard to say what a good ctr is as it really depends on a ton of factors... plus you could have a low ctr ad be more profitable than a high one if it also converts way better
And even if you find a winner, it will burn out eventually anyway, so you always gotta be testing new images and headlines (especially images).
If were you I'd test like 12 unique ads and keep deleting the losers until you have your winner, then try 4 new ads with the same image but new headline, and then another 4 with the same headline but new image...
But yeah, we pay like 20 cents a click on mobile in the UK for what is a pretty high ctr ad, if that is any help... in Germany on mobile for high ctr verticals we've gotten down below 10... in Germany we also had a low ctr ecom offer where we were paying 55 cents a click on Desktop...
And then it seems to me on native that the image is what determines ctr mostly, and the headline is what affects conversion rate (although certainly both affect both).
Sounds like a cool offer!

It also varies from placement to placement, 0.02% is a good Ad CTR on certain placements!
At the end of the day I don't think you should worry about whether an average CTR figure for a campaign is good or bad, it doesn't really matter.
Of course, always split test ads and improve your CTR to hopefully get more delivery and cheaper clicks, but ultimately if the CTR for a site is getting you clicks, conversions and profit then that's what matters.
