Seo dead?

Hello everyone, is SEO dead here on the forums? I would like to know more, but I guess there is nothing new. What a pity.

SEO is not dead but most people here are running paid traffic.

Feel free to start a discussion yourself, maybe you can get other users interested then as well.

I find this similar to - "Is dropshipping dead?" I remember sending loads of emails way back in 2018 to oberlo.com and spy tools that give signals on dropshipping products that may sell well. This was after a post I read on mywifequitherjob.com that epacket will end soon. Of course, it was a marketing gimmick to sell their own courses. Now I wilil remain unaffected if read 1000 such posts a day. And epacket services from China even if they end won't matter because you can dropship even within your own city if you understand the market well.

Coming back to SEO:
Just do your onpage optimization well, then set the base for social signals and backlicks... Have good and appropriate contents around the niche, post regularly 2 -3 posts a week. You should rank naturally within 3 to 6 months with say 35 to 60 posts.

It also helps if you get links from quora and forums related to your niche soon after the on-page optimization.

There are dozens of backlinking techniques - whitehat, blackhat, and gray hat. You should be safe with guest posts on authority sites anytime. Say for instance, it will always help your website if you get featured on forbes when you have a business related blog, even if you have just started out.

You can follow Matthew Woodward( matthewwoodward.co.uk ) and Brian Dean (backlinko.com) Besides the regular keyword tools for onpage optimization, I find frase.io good. The appsumo deal is sold out, I'm afraid.

All the best!

Pops are dead, push is dead, affiliate marketing is dead

Some time ago I talked to one of my adult/dating AMs and he told me that for their offers SEO still works very good and it´s still that content is king.

For backlinks I heard it´s better to go with less but high quality instead of spamming low quality backlinks en masse, at least when you don´t just want to quickly rank throwaway websites.

Well, I never really done SEO myself but I would also be an interested reader when there would be more talk about SEO here

SEO really isnt a hot topic here on the forum right now, as twinaxe mentioned, most of us are running paid traffic.

There is a ton of members that moved away from SEO to paid traffic, since they weren't happy with the instability and insecurity of SEO as a whole.

But anyways, I know quite a few SEO guys who joined STM and applied the knowledge they gained here to improve their earning from SEO sites. When I was running websites myself, I had no idea about all the landing pages, networks and many offer types, joining STM kinda opened my eyes too. So even if we don't have many recent SEO threads, you can still learn a lot here and apply it to your sites.

The length of posts is again a tricky subject.
You need to research your keywords and check the competition first.
To monetize the site at the very start, it is best to do 80 per cent posts with review posts and the rest 20 percent with how-to, question and list posts. For review posts again there can be four types - single review, x versus y, roundup review ( like best 10 products, top twenty places, etc. ), alternative to x,y,z (product, service, app, etc.)
For porn again, you will face a lot of competition from videos...
Always keep in mind if you are helping your audience you should win in the long run whatever be your niche.
Good luck again!

I've posted a video from Matt Diggity here not so long ago, it featured 5 tips on recent SEO.

Basically, there is no one-fits-all approach to length... in some cases it's better to write longer entries, sometimes it's ok to be more brief. Google will "tell" you though. Just check the results for the keywords you target, open the top 5 results, check how long their content is, make an average of the 5 and write a bit more than that.

Here is the video if you want to have a look: https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...-Tips-for-2020

they always do the same thing ;-)
They do, BUT... each of them has different background so you can write BIOs. There is tons of content for each of them, so you can compile link lists... and you can write something about each scene that you link to. Pornstar blogs have been really popular at some point... all it took was to monitor the major paysites and whenever there was a new scene posted with a given pornstar, you would just list it and write a short paragraph about the scene, along with some images. Worked really well... I'm not sure how viable this approach is now, since google has put a lot of focus on SEO factors such as time on site and bounce rate, so the video sites are clearly winning here.

A good approach that gives you a lot to write about are "erotic stories"... you can buy packs of stories and rewrite them to make the content unique, or write them yourself. Add some images and you have solid content that resonates well with the right audience.

Yup, this is another one and this approach is frequently used by people who upload videos to the big tube sites. They use amateur style videos for this, often POV stuff or something similar that looks like "homemade footage"... what these guys do is that they add a voice message at the beginning of the video that goes like "This is "Anna" and I met this girl on dating site XYZ and we had sex right on the first night bla bla bla" ... judging by how frequently I see this used lately, it's probably working well

Or you just watch more porn lately

Not really, I'm visiting tons of adult sites all the time, but not for the content... that's not of any interest to me after all those years, I'm spying on my competitors, checking their ads, LPs and I do run the videos frequently to stay in the loop.. I just want to know the trends Sounds weird I know, but thats the way it is

Doesn´t sound weird at all

I know it from myself when I was running adult stuff.

After some sime you don´t really see the pussies and tits anymore and it´s just normal images.

The easy SEO from before is sure as hell dead, the complex SEO requiring PBNs and a lot of manual work and prayer to rank does exist Although people don't talk about it as much as they talked about SEO back in the golden days of SEO.

I for sure would love to know how to do SEO right now to get my blog iAmAttila.com ranking better I share so much good content that I'd love to get more people reading it!

so ubersuggest tells me that you have over 148 critical bugs on your site iamatila.com. I would start there........

On a personal level, the "golden days" of SEO were pretty bad for me when I paid $1 an hour for super slow internet connection in 2005, only find "keyword density" of 2 to 10 per cent is required on getafreelancer.com ( now probably freelancer.com and in no competition to upwork). Then as soon as I would search to find out what that meant after waiting for five minutes for the page to load, I would find a single page website with the picture of a demon ready to gobble me up. After three hours and $3 spend (which was a lot of money for me then as a student in India struggling to get some pocket money), I would just end up super frustrated and see 200 applications with five star reviews for the $5 SEO gig and then rarely someone would reply. But then they were the "golden days" for many...

But yes, I have the cracked the code to success in life NOW and it's in Gary Vee's words, "The right time is NOW." It's about catching the trend early and what is in vogue NOW. I regretted a bit missing facbook ads in 2012 and then bitcoin in 2010. But there will be things happening NOW that most of the world isn't aware and will regret having missed years later... I have a caught hold of a couple and capitalizing

Coming back to SEO it's about unfucking all that one has learned in the past, so one starts fresh every single day. And yes, it's surely NOT about prayer but understanding the Google algorithm. And yes, Google has made it so much easier for us with better search results NOW. Besides ken-proxy ubersuggest suggestion, I would also suggest to rely on social media too for the traffic and of course, Google loves social signals. Especially the visual channels - Pinterest, youtube, and Instagram. Followed by Facebook, Linkedin, and twitter. Also, forums are a great way to know the kind of contents people love and so do magazines in the niche. It's pretty generic information, but I have seen people who ranked in 1999 and are still making money from the same website because they shared what people want in an EVERGREEN niche. Here I am talking about a gardening website.

I hope to share a bit when I can and what I can in two to three months... whenever I can squeeze in a bit of time to create the tutorial.
Cheers!
