What are some good traffic source for a new affiliate who wants to get started
in the Nutra/Diet/Skin niche?
To be Honest any 1 niche is good for a new affiliate to start off with, the trick is to stick to that 1 niche and make $1-- $100 -- $1000/Day .Most new affiliates keep switching between niches too quickly when they dont see a positive ROI but the key is to put in the hours on your niche and learn more about the DOs and DONTs and dwell on that particular subject.

These verticals are among the more tricky ones, they are regulated quite heavily and many networks don't exactly love campaigns promoting them. The reason is that in order for them to convert well, you really need to push the limits to the max, when it comes to the ad copy and imagery ... bold claims, celebrity endorsement etc is needed and often used in order to sell well.
Obviously, FB traffic works great with these offers, but that requires deep cloaking knowledge and a solid amount of accounts to burn.
Native traffic does work too, but the big two (taboola and outbrain) are quite picky, you can try your luck with MGID, content.ad or revcontent.
Push or POPs network won't have many issues with such campaigns, but they lack the targeting options. It can still work there though.
SO I'd say, try mgid or some push network to see whether you can get anywhere.
I would also recommend you to start from native and push networks, it`s easy to start campaign and pass the moderation, but traffic can be worse than in Google and FB, so notice that you will need to test it firstly
One of the things that I've seen with new affiliates working in the nutra/health/skin space is that since there's a high demand for these offers, they think they'll convert right away.
The fact is, you will need to test a lot.
I like PPC for those niches because you can target specific problems with your proposed solution (the offer):
KW: "natural remedies for cellulite"
PPC Ad: "Destroy Cellulite From Home - All-Natural Product - www.product.com"
Landing Page: Make it all about the benefits of the product and how it works to fix the problem (cellulite).
Most affiliates won't go that far as to target specific problems with specific solutions, but those that do make great commissions.
