Facebook requesting to update vat information

Hi, Is it safe to ignore this message "please ask the admin of this ad account to update vat information" that Facebook keeps showing? I'm accessing the BM from US and attached a US cc but the admin created this account from a VPS in Germany, and wondering if ignorting the notice can lead to issues like a checkpoint on ID, documents or account ban? Thanks!

In case the account is registered to a German company, you need to add the VAT otherwise I'd say they will charge VAT to the spendings.

FB invoices EU companies from their Irish brand, so they need to comply with the EU law, which means they either need to have VAT IDs for the EU entities or they need to charge VAT on top of the adspend.
