Tower's Sweepstakes SOI Push Follow Along
Hi guys,
Glad to join the community
As newbie to Push, I'm really lucky to find lots of value resource here.
Twinaxe's Push Tutorial is great guidebook. It gives useful insight for push traffic and campaigns.
After going through those resource, I think it’s time to get it done.
And here comes my first Follow Along in AM 😄
Background in my FA:
- Network: ClickDealer, MaxBounty
- Traffic: Propeller Ads
- Spy: Anstrex
- Offer: Sweepstakes SOI (win SAMGSUNG / iPhone series)
I pick Sweepstakes SOI because the conversion flow is pretty simple.
I think it’ll be friendly to verify the funnel: Creative -> Landing Page -> Offer
For creatives, I spy 3 icons with same title and description (not offer related) to test better CTR.
For landing pages, I have amazon theme gift box.
For offers, I apply all win SAMSUNG / iPhone SOI offers in Germany (avg payout $2.48).
Below are my landers and offers setup.
For each lander, I modify the text and image to be consistent with offer.
I realize that I test a lot at the same time. Because I don’t know which one would work.
My campaign setup in Propeller Ads
- Pricing Model: CPC
- High Activity
- half of recommend bid, $10 per day
- Platform: Mobile
- No WL/BL
After 1 day, I spent $15.75 and got 4 conversions (avg CPA $0.27).
Propeller Ads Report
LP Report
Offer Report
Zone Report
Conclusion for D1
- With Bayesian A/B Testing Calculator, Icon 1 is the winner
- Block zones cost more than $0.52 (2 * avg CPA) without conversion. 6 zones are blocked (Is it too early / late to block zones? Any suggestion to block zones?)
Next Step
- Test icon with localization (German)
- Keep current bid for more testing budget

D2
Changes after D1
- Keep icon on D1 with better CTR
- Add one icon for testing
- Translate title and description into German (google translate)
- Add modified Twinaxe’s Gift Box Landing Page to the pipeline
- Add some win iPhone 12 SOI offers to the pipeline
- 6 zones blocked from D1
- No WL
Day spent $32 and got 7 conversions (avg CPA $0.67)
Here are day 2 set up
Propeller Ads Report
LP Report
Offer Report
Zone Report
Interestingly, none of the D1 converted zones converted in D2.
Conclusions for D2
- The newly added orange icon is less probability to win. Stop it
- Need more data for English vs German title & description
- Block non-converted zones which lifetime spent more than $1.25 (half payout). There are 3 zones matched
I’m confused for next steps. Currently no enough data to draw conclusion for LP or offers. So I need to spent more budget on them?

Hey there, great to see your follow along.
Do you have an idea already about what geos you want to run?
Because Maxbounty has mostly sweep SOI offers for high tier Geos.
On lower tier geos however you often have pin submit offers available as well that can be run with same landers and creatives as SOI offers.
This opens up a huge new market and lower tier geos are often easier to run and to learn compared to high tier.
Block zones cost more than $0.52 (2 * avg CPA) without conversion. 6 zones are blocked (Is it too early / late to block zones? Any suggestion to block zones?)
Why do you use 2 x average CPA?
The CPA is just what you pay for a conversions.
When your CPA is very low then it´s a very good sign because then you don´t pay much per conversion.
But with your formula you would punish the good zones with low CPA and favor the worse zones with higher CPA.
It´s better to use the average offer payout as a metric.
And then we come to the next point.
After 1 day, I spent $15.75 and got 4 conversions (avg CPA $0.27).
Day spent $32 and got 7 conversions (avg CPA $0.67)
How do you calculate the CPA?
The calculation for it is Revenue / Number of conversions = Cost Per Action
In your situation it would be
1) $15.75 revenue / 4 conversions = $3.94 Cost Per Action
2) $32 revenue / 7 conversions = $4.57 Cost Per Action
You seem to have a good and structured approach so try to really understand the whole process and flow so that your success doesn´t suffer because of wrong calculations or so

Hi twinaxe, glad to hear from you. Thank you again for the great tutorial
Do you have an idea already about what geos you want to run?
Not exactly, I'm new to this game.
I only decide to run sweepstakes with Push. Geos and conversion flow are flexible.
Testing SOI is some kind of perception that it'll be easier in conversion.
This opens up a huge new market and lower tier geos are often easier to run and to learn compared to high tier.
Do you suggest to start from lower tier geos with cc submit?

Thank you for pointing out. After review, I think I really mess up.
My goal is to set criterion to block "low quality" zones, even they are high activity zones in propeller ads.
Here is how I do.
for day 1, I sum up all ad spent on converted zones: $1, and cost per action for these zones would be $1 / 4 = $0.25.
Then I filter all zones which spent more than $0.25 * 2 (magic number) without conversion.
I think they're "low quality" because they take twice CPA without any conversion.
Similarly for day 2.
But after reviewing the calculation, I notice the CPA is bias.
And I have question: how much ad spent / clicks or other metrics do I need for each zone before making decision to block it?
On day 3, I add Google Recaptcha V3 to LP.
It looks like most users are real. So I block zones with low average score (< 0.1). Because users in these zones are probability "not real"

Lower tiers yes, CC submits no.
It´s better to start with easier flows.

Well, there are several things wrong with that calculation
First thing, when you are still testing different offers and/or landers you can´t really block zones because of "low quality" because you can´t really tell if it´s the zone that is bad or if it´s the offers or landers.
In test stage you only put zones on a temporary blacklist when they have too high volume compared to the other zones.
You want to have your traffic split across more different zones so that you don´t have just few zones that bring most of the traffic.
Next thing, I still don´t understand how you calculate the CPA and why you do it.
Please read what I wrote about it in my previous post.
When you want to use a more systematic approach you could use a calculation like this
Number of landing pages x Number of offers x Average offer payout x 10 = Test budget
On day 3, I add Google Recaptcha V3 to LP.
Don´t do it.
You want to keep your landers running with as less scripts and stuff as possible.
