Tracking for Own Offer?
Hi, if I like to set up my own offer page, and run Native ads to it. How do i set up tracking for leads? Any tips or resource I can refer to would be helpful.
Is it as simple as inserting a postback pixel from either Voluum or traffic source into my offer page or thank you page? Or am I missing any other steps.
Thanks in advance!

It generally depends on the platform that you are using to manage your offer pages.
If you're using custom build pages, you can use GTM to pass URL parameters from one page to another, so that you can capture them on the thank you page, and again fire the conversion using GTM.
Adding a few more details to your scenario should help giving better suggestions.

I'm currently accustomed to building my own landing page with CTA to offer page, page load speeds typically 0.3s-0.6s. As we usually work with networks or big advertisers, all we have to do is give them a postback URL and the leads will be reflected in my tracker.
However, I'm thinking of partnering with a small business owner where I get leads for him. Hence, I will need
1) to implement an opt-in form where the leads get captured and both me and him get instant access to the leads
2) be able to track where the leads come from
3) maintain fast loading speeds where I've heard Clickfunnels and WP sites are usually slow
Will GTM be able to do that?

What you will need is to make sure that the offer page is able to read, save, and report back your tracking parameters. Simple reason is that the company you are working with might be working with someone else too, so in this scenario they have to be able to fire the conversion pixels to each publisher separately. Otherwise if your simply place your pixel on the offer thank you page without a clickid from your tracker, both you and the offer owner will end up in a huge mess.
If properly setup GTM can help with achieving the required setup, however I'd like to emphasize that the tracking implementation via GTM or any other industry standard affiliate tracking system like Cake, HasOffers or Everflow, is something that needs to be carried out and provided by the offer owner.

As platinum mentioned above, if there are more partners working with this business partner of yours, you need to make sure the the clickid get's passed correctly so that each partner get's credited for their leads.
So yes, you can use the pixel from
Voluum and place it on the "thank you" page and use the regular voluum campaign link to send traffic... just make sure the thank you page is modified to grab the clickid from the url and fire the pixel with it included.

Thanks for the detailed reply, appreciate it. Sorry for the confusion, but think of it as I’m the offer owner. I own the offer page and leads and I’m selling them to a partner, so there won’t be anyone else sending leads via the offer page. In that case, what will be the best way to track the leads origin?

Thanks for the reply. Sorry but I’m not very technical guy, “just make sure the thank you page is modified to grab the clickid”. Is that by appending a ?string=clickid thingy behind the thank you page URL? otherwise I’ll try and ask voluum if they have a tutorial on this.

If you are alone sending traffic directly to your own page, you can use @
voluum direct pixel
And on the confirmation page, you can use the modified pixel to register the conversion. See here:
https://doc.Voluum.com/en/setting_up...el_offers.html
If you have several partners sending you leads, voluum wrote a guide on how to use the tracker as an affiliate network:

What jeremie suggested (the direct pixel from Voluum) would likely be a sufficient solution in your case. I never tried it personally, but we're just having a discussion about it in another thread here: https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...racking-Quirks!
