No one is going to answer all your questions that have already been asked a bajillion times.

Use the search function, check tutorials, post to the newbie Q&A area.

I would highly, highly recommend going through the 40 day guide at a minimum.

VPS is definitely better than shared! With a VPS you're getting guaranteed resources allocated to your account, with shared hosting it's as the name suggests, shared with other users, which can lead to problems in case some of the other customers overloads the machine/resources.

As for companies, many of us here use vultr or digitalocean, both work well. Stay away from the-likes of hostgator or bluehost.

I agree with jaybot that there is a lot of info and tutorials as well a very useful search function.

For example, regarding servers, there is a complete section about the tech aspects of affiliate marketing:
https://stmforum.com/forum/forumdisp...rs-amp-Scripts

People are already asking for advice, comparing solutions, giving feedback about some hosting solutions... Valuable information to reply to your question

The most senior members are happy to answer questions, but it generates more interesting discussions when you search a bit by yourself before.

I had a VPS with them too for several years, everything worked pretty much fine without any major problems. Just once, some tech messed a few things up during an update... but that can happen everywhere. Solid host from what I can tell, but a bit more pricey... fast support though.
