Taboola AM & client id / secret
Hi,
I want to start a campaign on Taboola and I would like to integrate it into my tracker for rule management (Voluum). So I asked by email to the support a client id/secret and one week later still no news ...
Do you know how to get a manager with them? I'm planning to do a 2k€ campaign but I don't know how to get someone to start.
Thank you!

Hey,
Just do a gentle follow-up with them. First time I contacted them, they were quite slow to reply too.
Did you wrote to their generic support address or to a specific person?

Wrote to the generic support. Don’t have a person to contact, that’s the problem ;-)
I’ll retry ... thanks

Maybe you'll need to spend some good amount of money on Taboola first, then they will be more open to give you API access.
They used to have like a 5k monthly ad spend threshold some times ago, not sure what's the situation now when it comes to get API access. However, they are a bit hesitant to give API access on fresh accounts without any history.

I have asked them multiple times, they will not give me API access because it is not available for “self serve” users. I’m assuming I just need to spend more and get a rep to get API access.

As a matter of fact it is the ad spend that influences their decision to provide api access or not. It has nothing to do with self-serve vs. managed accounts.

Hey guys, does this still stand? We are looking for a initial budget of $5k/day but there's no way to do that without proper tracking and we need at least Client ID/Secret to use theOptimizer and Voluum integration.

@
platinum can probably help better than I can, however I do remember in the James Van Eslwyck native course he would talk about always reaching out to the Reps at new traffic sources he wanted to work with over LinkedIn, and sending them screenshots of his spend at other networks, so he could jump straight to having a rep.
We got a Taboola rep once we were spending like 500$-1000$ a day, but the threshold might be higher now.
We were just using
Thrive though only so we didn't need API access when we started anyway...
But yeah, hopefully they will respond to you either via the generic email or if you message them over LinkedIn or something.
I do know I've been seeing way more cloaking (or at least attempted cloaking) on Taboola lately though from spying in the wild and on Adplexity, so I think that could be why they are getting stricter about a lot of stuff like API access.

Hey @jack_l, thanks for the reply.
Yeah, I can use Voluum without it but to connect with theOptimizer is a no go... so I guess we'll need to get up and running without it before getting an account manager after all =/
