In your experience, do offers tend to convert worse during the weekend?

I find myself working 9 to 5 while building this business right now. As a result I am most productive and getting the most done during the weekend. Many of my previous campaigns have been launched on Saturdays and Sundays. Of course I am going to do a lot of testing myself and I am sure many campaigns convert very well over the weekend.

What I am wondering though is if in your experience it is usually better to begin the initial test during weekdays in each respective geo? The reason I ask is because I don't want to throw an offer up and then struggle to get conversions because it is Saturday (night??) in the geo where I am testing it for the first time. That it could be a profitable campaign after all but the weekend skews the numbers because the traffic might be less interested.

You can't generalize it.

It's true that some offers can convert different at different times.

But this is not important enough or universal enough to be considered and it's nothing that should keep you away from just starting.

Adding to that, make sure you read the description of the offers.

I know a handful of ecom offers and COD offers have disclaimers saying they don't work on the weekends because call centers are closed and can't follow up with leads until they open up Monday morning.

They try to follow up, but by then, the offer may not be on the visitor's mind anymore.

I think a lot of crypto offers work that way too. The ones I'm thinking of explicitly say they work Monday - Friday in the description. My AM has told me that leads collected on weekends don't tend to convert as well for crypto offers.

I never heard of anything like that @bennimen. Very interesting and I will look out for that!

I assume there is a general order "Not to launch new campaigns on Friday night", because on weekends most of us have rest and the concentration decreases. Also, I've noticed that some activity of network's managers slows down during summer, luckily due to vacations. Though, I can't tell that general user's activity varies from Mon-Fri to Sat-Sun

This depends on the vertical a lot... certain areas of interest lose traction on weekends, while others are rising.

This affects both the traffic levels and conversion rates.

For example, weekends are the best for Dating offers, while running a loan offer (that requires a call to close the deal) on Sunday evening probably isnt a good idea.

To be fair, a properly optimized campaign can perform on any day, regardless of the offer vertical, unless the offer is defunct during the weekend as bennimen mentioned (closed call center). Your ads cater to the product, the users know what they are about to see so if they click them, so there is at least SOME interest and it can perform to some extent. But yeah, different days perform in a different way. That's why it's important to run at least a full week to get a clear idea about the potential of an offer.

Oh sure, didn´t even think about it.

It makes sense for specific verticals/offers to check if they even convert on weekend or not.

Of course you shouldn´t send traffic to offers that won´t convert on weekend anyway.
