The Yellow Side Of The Force (Snapchat as a traffic source)
Hello there!
I've come to this place of affiliate wisdom in search of the pathway to abilities some consider to be... unnatural.
Cough... $0,03 CPC... cough.
Jokes aside, are there STMers (I'm not sure that's how you call STM members, so correct me if I'm wrong) who successfully run campaigns on Snapchat at the moment? I've been working with Snap for a couple of months, doing... not great not terrible (grunting in Dyatlov) with sweeps, but now they're banned from the platform. So I'm ready to start it all from the scratch. Maybe there're some treads/guides I should dive in?
Every advice and every fraction of your wisdom will be appreciated.
Oh, and of course you're welcome to ask any questions about this traffic source and I'll be happy to answer. Let's make this thread the home of the rising Snapchat sun together.
Be blessed and may the ROAS be with you! Always.

I thought about testing Snapchat Ads some time ago already but didn´t do it because at that time they only offered running on CPM as far as I remember.
But would be great to read a bit more about Snapchat ads here.

I believe they’ve improved a lot since then. Nowadays the platform is pretty similar to Facebook in terms of functionality, targeting and features. They have their own pixel now as well.
On the other hand I believe Snap differs a lot from making creative point of view. UGC is the King there. Split screen videos (that's common Snapchat style for new/blogs/etc content) are working great as well.

$0.03 for what targeting?
When I select all Europe or North America and even when I select only Indonesia I see suggested bid is
€0.22-
€0.90 per swipe.

That was a nutra campaign on France.

As you can see, 35+ targeting performed even better, with lower eCPSU (CPC) and higher Swipe Up Rate, although 35+ is not the largest demo on Snap, as you know. Oh, and keep in mind that's Australian dollars.

Are we talking about "Drive Traffic To Website" type of campaign?
Anyways, suggested bids are always higher and €0.22-€0.90 is a HUGE eCPSU not only for Indonesia, but even for tier 1 countries. In fact, usually you should aim for ~$0.10-$0.15 eCPSU. And I'm talking about the USA - the biggest GEO for Snap. On smaller GEOs it could be (well, I'd say should be) even lower.
Here're some stats on one of my sweeps campaign on the USA. So it's like $0.08 eCPSU.

Gosh, how can I add images normally? It doesn't allow me to download an image nor from the link neither from the computer.

Yes, drive traffic to website.
Well, suggested bids are usually higher than needed on all platforms but the difference between $0.03 (Dollar cent) and €0.20-€0.90 (Euro cent) is really pretty high.
Will try to run some tests then on low bid wehn I have some spare time for it.

It's cheaper than website conversion campaign, so $0.10 eCPSU is really something you can achieve pretty easily with a DTTW campaign. Usually bids go higher once you switch to goal based bidding, like pixel purchase, but that's a different story.

I think the most important thing with Snap are creatives. If they aren't "on point" your eCPSU is probably ducked. I mean, even creos from IG campaigns probably won't do great on Snap. I'm not even talking about FB.
