Hi, My name is Janero and this is my first post actually but I've been here for about a month. I really need to realize that this forum is here to help me and not just lurk around lol
but I kinda needed advice from people who actually run Facebook lately. ( my skype is live:janero.2k if anyone wants to discuss anything cpa/push traffic/facebook ads related ), I'm online a lot)
So I right now I'm running an ecom offer for Affiliaxe and at first I ran the offer to a advertorial I ripped with a domain with .xyz (dumb mistake) and I got that ad account disabled...only problem is that idk exactly why it was banned it just said "Unacceptable Business Practices Policy " it could've been the advertorial itself or the domain name, I'm not sure.
I didn't really let that stop me, I have backup accounts so I played it safe and changed the angle to collecting emails and optimizing for leads on a thank you page then creating a LAL audience afterwards on those leads.
Now maybe I'm impatient
but I'm almost about 70 leads into the offer and no sales. I thought maybe trying the advertorial I made on clickfunnels with my .com domain will increase conversion rate since the flow would be Ad>Advertorial>Offer instead of Ad>optin>ty page>offer
What would you guys say? keep the flow I have now and just test more? Or are advertorials allowed as long as it's completely WH? I really think the Advertorial will increase the conversions but I don't want to risk it since I'm already building a list safely.
one thing i noticed is using traditional affiliate trackers can get you banned... So next time try not to use affiliate trackers and relie on non traditional tracking platforms
You are building safely, but it doesnt bring a dime in right? So change it I would say. In general after 70 leads you need to have a sale, depends on the vertical tho' still.
- use a fresh domain - not used on FB before
- host your prelander
- clickout from prelander -> offer page
Make sure ads and prelanders are according FB's policy ofcourse, or use a cloaker if you want to go more agressive.
Awesome, I was actually hoping that you would see this and reply! Thanks, I'll buy a new domain and host my advertorial but is it necessary to host the prelander on a bigger site with other articles so it looks more "legit"?
I'm using ClickFunnels I can't exactly create a website with lots of other content, so is there another way to host advertorials like would you recommend Bluehost or something like?
Also will having "advertorial" at the top of the page flag Facebook for disapproval or is it anyway against Facebook policy?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm just really trying to learn Facebook from experience and find a winning formula I can model
Facebook doesn't care if it says Advertorial or not. Pretty sure that is just some Native Platforms that want it.
Facebook IS very good at detecting ad copy and landers are commonly used by affiliates. Rip and run on Facebook is an almost guaranteed account ban.
Yeah you need to come up with unique stuff to reach high volumes eventually.
But for a starter adjusting ripped landers thoroughly might be more simple to do.
Hey Janero,
First of all, congratulations on your first STM Post
When it comes to FB advertorials, it can be hard to pinpoint the exact reason for an account ban because even the cleanest campaigns get flagged sometimes.
Advertorials are allowed on FB as long as they are in line with FB’s Ad Policies (https://www.facebook.com/policies/ads) and I would highly recommend testing the ad > prelander > offer flow.
Although this flow might result in fewer visitors on the actual offer page, a strong prelander (that excites and engages the audience) should compensate for that.
But again, keep the FB ad policy in mind. It’s not uncommon that Ecom advertisers have prelanders ready to be used, so I would check in with your account manager to see if they can help you with that.
Best of luck!
