Click Loss Problem (4)

Click Loss Problem

Hi Guys,

I have been facing a serious click loss issue between my tracker (Bemob) and Affiliate Network (Mobidea). I have read some useful posts about click loss on STM and other forums but most of them focus majorly on click loss between the traffic source and tracker, and not between the tracker and affiliate network.

I am running a direct linked campaign on Popds and the click loss between my tracker and affiliate network is about 35% (There is no significant click loss between the traffic source and tracker)

I am also running a different offer in a different GEO using a prelander with push notification ads and facing a similar problem. If 100 users click on my LP CTA, only 75-80 show on Mobidea.

Mobidea has a safety fallback feature and in case clicks are not from allowed OS, carrier etc., those are redirected to the smartlinks. In my case there are no smartlink clicks so I know my settings are all right.

Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

Some clickloss will always be present, even between tracker and affiliate network. The tracker will count every click, networks usually count uniques... some might ignore bot clicks etc...

In some GEOs, the loss can be pretty big, especially in case of POP traffic.

I never tried bemob personally, but I assume they have their system in order and the loss is not caused by slow redirects on their behalf.

To double check, you can setup a test campaign on popads, where you will use the affiliate link from Mobidea directly, so you will bypass the tracker... then compare the loss in this case with the one you see when using bemob.

You can also test some offers from a different affiliate network to see what the numbers look there.

But one way or another, in case everything is setup correctly tech-wise, you just have to accept the loss and focus on profits.

Thank you for the advice matuloo. Yes, I think it's a great idea to test the affiliate links directly to see if the problem is with the tracker.

Another option would be to also check with your account manager at Mobidea if they are able to give you any insights about filtered clicks. Maybe they can see the raw clicks count and help you understand what's going on.
