Hi! Newbie reading, trying, rereading, retrying :) Hope to not break the bank !
I'll go for it! I came here two weeks ago, and I have absolutely no regrets.
Thanks to the whole community and the moderators (vortex, twinaxe, matuloo and all the others). I spend nights reading and learning from you
Quick presentation: in web & mobile development for 10+ years (owner of a 10 person dev shop), SEO in AM for 1 year, and real newbie in traffic buying for 2 weeks.
Since the registration so, I did the $1 tuto, then I'm in the middle of the tuto 40 days. I subscribed to Voluum, Adplexity pop (which I'm thinking of changing to other tools), AWS setup for landings and subscribed to the 3 recommended networks.
On the traffic source side, I've tested PopAds, PropellerAds & Zeropark for the moment.
My feedback: red of course, but also green on a few points. One geo completely red because I did the crazy (my own landing), and another green (riped landing), but very little traffic.

Two geo: ZA & SG. SG was a disaster because I wanted to make my own landing which included a list of 6 coupon offers. The CTR is in the cabbage and 2 conversions (one with direct linking and one with luck I guess). So I stopped for the moment.
For the other ZA campaign, Zeropark just pumped my money. Practically no conversion (the last 4 lines).
PopAds has been green almost from the beginning, but the traffic is really very low (first line).
PropellersAds was red at first, then by targeting better, I start to go green (second line).
The other lines are tests on PopAds/Propeller/ZeroPark. I've also tested push traffic without success, just to see. But I think for now, I'll continue to focus on pop to learn.
My next steps:
- Start building a BL on ZA with PropellerAds
- Continue on Popads while it's green
- Launch another geo on pop dating (I do it with SEO)
- Test new traffic sources (and activate the STM bonuses
)
A few questions:
- I've read the articles on no conversion syndrome, I'm relaunching campaigns by targeting better (for the moment mainly mobile, carrier, android 5+ & chrome). I don't feel like I'm too prone to the bots, but even here it's complicated, I can't believe I have to blacklist:

For example here (it's a list of placements), aside from the first zone, when working an offer with a payout of $1.6, what should I cut?
- On PopAds, I got green results, but that's ridiculous. So I'm wondering how to scale. I tested Zeropark with the same targeting criteria once landing + offer identified but too little conversion to cut. So apart from spending more than 10 times the payout hoping to have conversions to learn, I preferred to cut the source. I'm really wondering how to scale with another traffic source.
That's all for today, I'll repost when I have results on the next steps of my todo. Feel free to say if I'm boring to read, I'll make it shorter
Thanks for this forum!

Hey there
Since the registration so, I did the $1 tuto, then I'm in the middle of the tuto 40 days. I subscribed to
Voluum, Adplexity pop (which I'm thinking of changing to other tools), AWS setup for landings and subscribed to the 3 recommended networks.
On the traffic source side, I've tested PopAds, PropellerAds & Zeropark for the moment.
Setup is ok so far.
My feedback: red of course, but also green on a few points. One geo completely red because I did the crazy (
my own landing), and another green (riped landing), but very little traffic.
Don´t do it man, even though I am into affiliate markting for 15 years I still don´t run own created landers
I tried it few times but it sucked so hard that it´s embarrassing
Better go with already proven landers and when they work try to make some changes to see if you can increase performance a bit more.
For the other ZA campaign, Zeropark just pumped my money. Practically no conversion (the last 4 lines).
Zeropark is a traffic monster, better test somewhere else first and run ZP with a proven funnel.
Or ask them for a source WL for the campaigns that you want to run.
PopAds has been green almost from the beginning, but the traffic is really very low (first line).
Yes, unluckily on Popads there can be huge differences in volume between different geos or targetings.
Other sources have a better overall volume.
But when you get something running on Popads it often converts pretty good.
- Test new traffic sources (and activate the STM bonuses )
Don´t do it now.
Better try to master 1-2 sources first.
You don´t need that many sources to be successful.
Many sources rebroker the traffic back and forth anyway.
2 good sources with enough volume are enough to run 3 figure or even 4 figure days.
I've read the articles on no conversion syndrome
To be honest, I have no idea what the no conversion syndrome is.
Please enlighten me
For example here (it's a list of placements), aside from the first zone, when working an offer with a payout of $1.6, what should I cut?
First it´s important to know that you can only blacklist for bad quality when you have a working and converting funnel.
In the test stage it´s good to temporary block high volume placements so that not all budget is spent on just a few placements.
Apart from that let it run until you have a working funnel.
How many landers and offers do you test in the campaign?

Hi twinaxe, thanks for the answer.

Okay

I thought it was probably a good idea to test 6 coupon offers in one landing and let the user choose the one he wanted. It seems they prefer to play roulette and/or win prizes on the 2nd try

I'll test the offers one by one then...
For Zeropark, I'll put aside... this is exactly the zero conversion syndrome I'm talking about
:
the matuloo's post:
https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...-Read-This-Now
On Zeropark, I just bought and no conversion while it was converting on PopAds and Propeller for the same funnel ... I'll come back on it later, I'll focus the 2 other sources as you advise and build a blacklist.
I will try another geo on PopAds to see the volume compared to ZA.
On Propeller, I'm going to blacklist the overly consuming sources first to get an idea of the rest, and see if I can optimize them.
To answer your question about the landings I did:
- at first, landings by carrier, then I cut the unprofitable carriers.
- and then I added the wheels and gifts...
I saw that the landing gifts converted better with the offer so I kept this one + one of the offers I had tested for the same product and considered it my funnel winner.
I think maybe I should test other angles on this landing, that said, I didn't see many different landings on the sweeps, I'll probably have to dig some more.
Anyway, on the new offer I'm going to launch, I'm going to refine my sorting process, buy more traffics to get more data and set up a real log/journal based on real data.
Let's say that this first run was to find out, I'll try to start a real method.
At the same time try to push the offer which is green to $xx/day to understand how to "scale" because for me at the moment filter = less traffic = less conversion .. but ok .. green. And apart from spending money on other sources of traffic, it remains obscure, and contradictory to your advice.
Thanks for the feedbacks anyway, more on the next episode

Always keep in your mind, there´s a reason why you see mostly just a few different landing page styles on Adplexity and other spytools - because they are proven to work.
I think maybe I should test other angles on this landing, that said, I didn't see many different landings on the sweeps, I'll probably have to dig some more.
There just not that many different styles.
We have gift boxes, spinwheels and different questionnaires.
These are the main ones.
Then we also have gift envelopes, winner of the day and such stuff that
can work as well.
But mostly the three most popular are enough.
