voluum tracking domain ssl

Hi,

I saw someone from Voluum posted this on this forum https://social101.tinytake.com/tt/ND...OF8xMzc3MTUwNw just some time ago but my Voluum rep says I need to upgrade my plan to encrypt and would run into issues if I don't... not sure why they even offered a plan that's gonna cause issues...

Can someone suggest any workaround?
I tried to encrypt from Siteground where I'm hosting the main domain /website at but it failed to encrypt there.

I'd like to avoid upgrading until I see some results..

Many thanks!
PS Sorry if I'm posting too many questions back to back. hope it's ok...

What are you trying to do?

If it is to activate SSL on the tracking domain, it is in their base plan. See this page
https://Voluum.com/pricing/

And the guide to do it
https://doc.voluum.com/en/enabling_s...om_domain.html

As mentioned, they said I need to upgrade to PROFIT. I currently signed up for DISCOVER...
I'm trying to find if there's any workaround if encrypting the tracking domain is necessary

I have the DISCOVER plan and was able to get a SSL from Voluum on my custom domain, following the guide I sent earlier. Exactly what Karolina from @Voluum is saying in the post you mentioned.

sorry I must be blind.. can't seem to find an instruction on that guide to get an SSL without upgrading. it says SSL for your Custom Domain is available on Profit pricing plan and above. Maybe you were grandfathered into their old plan?

It is on their pricing page:
https://Voluum.com/pricing/

See "Compare Voluum Pricing Plans" section
then "Usage Parameters" > "Dedicated Domains with SSL"
> all plans have SSL for 1 domain

Take a screen and send them

I see you've been referring to dedicated domains... To clarify, I've been looking for a solution to add SSL to a custom domain...

It can be done with Cloudflare and some magic. Voluum won’t help you out with it though. It’s been awhile, but if you search the forums a bit, it should show up.

Alternatively, you could use Bemob for free and add a custom ssl domain in minutes.

But then you’d be using Bemob.

I had someone on fiverr do it from cloudflare. How can I verify if it's done correctly? If I see a padlock on a browser for the click URL, does it mean it's encrypted properly?

Thanks a bunch!
