So I've been testing out some offers on a different affiliate network before launching my campaign. I find that when I follow the links to these offers that they take me to offers that have nothing to do with the offers I have the links for.
At first I was thinking that there was some sort of issue in the landing pages with redirects. And even though some of these sweepstakes landers I ripped do have malicious redirects in them at the very least these links are through different sites. My confusion is that when I test the offer URL (provided by the affiliate network) which is a sweepstakes offer, I find myself being redirected to gaming offers which display tracking in the URL to show that I am on a campaign that is a completely different campaign to mine.
I sent a message to my AFM who I'm sure will help clarify the issue on Monday, though I am confused as to why I am being redirected from my own offer. I have tried using my mobile phone, browser applications, and accessing things from the landing pages that are not malicious, and have been testing the offers directly from
Has anyone ever had this happen to them? Is this a newbie mistake or is it something shady at play here?
Update: Using a mobile browser I was able to get some of the offers to display. One issue occurring is that my computer security firewall refuses to let me view some of these ads.
Some offers redirect based on IP, country, device, carrier or whatever.
So when you visit the offer from a setup that doesn't meet the offer requirements you get redirected to somewhere else or just see a blank page or an error page.
That's nothing to worry about, it's absolutely normal
