My first FA, Vortex' 40 day tutorial & Beyond! (Voluum)

Dear stm community welcome to my follow along. After reading extensively I've decided its time to start my very own follow along. Rather than starting threads for small questions I will undoubtedly have along the way I've decided to start this FA so everything is in one place.

A few things about myself, I'm new to internet marketing, new to anything having to do with making money online (this will be my first attempt). What I do have going for me is I speak five languages fluently (which should help me when writing copy), and I've followed several marketing courses in uni so I'm familiar with many of the psychological techniques used in ads and landers. I'm also familiar with the statistical analysis performed in AM.

So I started with the $1 guide and followed through to Vortex' 40 day tutorial. Huge thanks to you Amy, I've been able to follow everything so far! Its been about 10 days now and I'm at the point of starting to use landing pages (day 16).

I've started a few direct link campaigns, some on Pop Ads and some on Propeller Ads, those have led to 0 conversions. My $1 guide campaign however has been been converting and after a bit of optimising I'm making minimal profits with it. It's less than a dollar a day but hey, I'm happy to see a bit of green amongst all the red.

As I Said before, I'm at the point of starting to create campaigns with landers and am having trouble deciding what vertical to choose. My previous offers were in mobile gaming but they didn't convert and I'm really not a gamer so I don't see myself following through with those kinds of offers. I had just randomly picked something as I was exited to get started. I'm all for a vertical that doesn't have a high payout but will convert well for me to have loads of data to play with. Vortex suggests going into the sweepstakes vertical. When the tutorial was written it was a newbie friendly vertical and relatively easy to achieve profits.

Is this still the case in 2020? If not what other verticals might you suggest for me to start off with? I just want to make sure I'm heading into the right direction is all. I read in some thread that there aren't many sweepstakes offers for tier 3&4 making it more challenging to test, is this true? Also depending of what verticals you may suggest, what traffic sources should I be looking at? At the moment I'm with Pop Ads and Propeller Ads.

Also there seems to be plenty of landers I should be able to rip in the sweepstakes vertical. Which brings me to my next point, Adplexity. It seems like a great service for someone like myself who has minimal programming skills. Proven landers can be ripped and its just one less thing to worry about in the beginning stages. What has kept me from signing up so far is the price. So yesterday I spent the day digging through the forum and reading loads of follow alongs. It seems most noobs like myself have bit the bullet and signed up. My question is for you Affiliates that are further along then me. Is Adplexity one of those essential things I need in the beginning like a tracker? Will it end up costing me more in the long run if I choose not to purchase it now? I have no problem purchasing it, I just want to make sure I'm spending my money on things that are necessary or will give me a good bang for my buck. My point is, since money is a finite resource for me I want to be sure I'm placing it where it needs to be placed rather than just loading up on "cool" software tools I may not really need.

I apologise if I haven't formatted my post in a very clear way, I've only written a handful of posts in my life. I'm new to this forum thing and would like to get better at it so if you guys have some tips to make my posts more pleasant to read I'm all ears! Also I know I skipped telling you guys all the things i've done before getting to the landing pages (like what tracker i got etc.). If you need to know these things to answer some of my questions I'm happy to write them. I just wanted to go straight to business in this first post and I hope thats alright. As I choose my new vertical and start creating campaigns with landers I will post my steps so you can follow along .

Next steps:
1. Decide on going with Adplexity or not.
2. Decide on vertical
3. Choose offers & landers
