Is this still viable "building email list + clickbank + autoresponder series"

Hi,
I am looking to start my affiliate marketing journey with ‘building email list + clickbank + autoresponder series’

Questions:-
Q1: Can someone please suggest me if it still a viable way to build a AM business?
Q2: Is there any genuine resources/guides/courses available to do this?
Q3: Is a website necessary for this to work or a landing page will do?

I am somehow inclined to this business model as I have some experience with Facebook ads and e-commerce and feel like collecting emails and doing AM is much less hassle than doing pop/push marketing, also as it requires a big budget and steep learning curve.
Please correct me if I am wrong… but any right direction would me much appreciated. Please point me to any list building/email marketing/clickbank course.

Thanks,
harsh

Hey.

Not necesarily with Clickbank, it can be any offer relevant for your traffic.

See this article and webinar from Charles NGo

Funny, I always thought list building and autoresponders took too long to optimize for my taste. I like the instant feedback of pops and push.

But.

Many affiliates still do this with PPC Bing and Google.

Search keywords -> Ad -> Lander -> Email Opt-in for discount/freebie -> Clickbank Offer and auto-responders

If you get good at it, you can even throw Push (mayyyybe pops) into the mix.

Push Ad -> Lander -> etc.

Once you get good at that, then you can expand to Native, which has basically the same funnel.

As for a course... there was something that teaches the basics on shit, I forgot. I'll search around.

Hopefully some others can chime in.

I kinda agree with jaybot here, POP/push marketing is the more simple setup compared to email collection and autoresponders.

With email, you need to optimize the collection funnel first, then work on the copy of the autoresponders in order to actually sell something. Some users will convert after multiple emails, so it's gonna take a longer period of time too. With direct ads on push or pops, you will get the results way faster.

Another thing with email... if you collect the wrong email audience, they won't buy anything from you and again, it will take several weeks to find out.

Then there is the deliverability issues, open and click rates... you have to optimize this too.

I'm not saying it cannot work, but I believe the idea of email+responders being the easier method is wrong.

Hi Jaybot, thats an amazing idea to mix push and native to this funnel, many thanks for the suggestion. However, as per yours and matuloo's thoughts, I will reconsider going this email and funnel building route and will start to learn more about POP/PUSH.
This uncertainity, fear of failure and financial loss of testing is killing me right now, I think I should take a break for few days, work on my mindset and come back again more strong.
I apologize for asking this question, I know it is different model from what all everyone is doing here in STM. But I needed clarity. And I am so grateful for having this helpful community.
Thank you again Matuloo, jaybot & jaremie for guiding me in the right direction.

Hold your horses for a while my man. We didn't say you shouldn't be going this route, when executed properly, it can actually be a much longer lasting operation than standard push/pop or whatever campaigns. We just wanted to point out the fact that this particular approach requires more effort and things to setup, compared to simple campaigns.

A properly managed and engaged email list can produce revenue for months or years, as long as you manage to mail out interesting content and not just spammy emails full of offers. Owning a large email list kinda equals to owning your very own traffic source as you can email to them again and again for as long as they don't unsubscribe.

But anyways, you need to get the subscribers somewhere, so you might as well start by running simple camapign, learn how to optimize the funnel, find good networks... then you can start building a list later on.

Thanks matuloo. Advice taken 100%. I will focus on Vortex's 40 day course and start with POP. Will think about list building later
Can you guide me if $500 per month will be enough for testing?

For some initial testing, $500 is enough, you will definitely learn a lot with this budget, just makes sure to proceed slowly and limit your daily spend. As for "mastering" AM, you will definitely need a larger budget though, depending on how well your initial testing phase goes.
