Questions About COD (Cash on Delivery) (3)

I have a new Shopify store that has made about 3 sales so far after one day of running $15 facebook ads to the $60 product, and they've all been thru COD payments. How exactly do I get paid with this method? I live in the US and buyers are all in Indonesia, so I'm just wondering how the courier would get money to me, assuming the buyers all accept the product.

I've already been transparent about long delivery times, hoping to reduce unpaid purchases. I'm mainly running this for tests to see what kind of market Indonesia has for e-commerce, so I know there are great risks involved with COD, mainly just wanting to see if there's an interested market for what I'm selling. I could see this being extremely lucrative, if I'm able to secure 80% of COD purchases.

How can you start offering the COD method in some GEO without actually knowing the details? Are you serious? )

Since it's international delivery and your business is located in a different country, you need to make a deal with some company in Indonesia, or maybe some international freight company... I doubt you can just ship by US post and expect them to handle the payments... There will be fees involved, which can get nasty for long range delivery plus the COD fee on top of that.

Definitely research this more, sort the the whole delivery process first, then start selling.
