AMEX users - this is a MUST READ

Hey guys,

I was looking in my amex account yesterday and noticed a promotion for AMEX Biz card holders. You have to enroll in this and from my understanding it's a free promotion.

From now until April 22, 2012 -- AMEX is giving eligible card holders 3X points per every dollar spent in facebook ads. This is HUGE! I use my points like cash every month, having over 2 million points right now. At the rate i spend and even smaller spenders are going, these points can seriously benefit you.

After this promo is over I may use some points to get a new rolex or something in their rewards area just to dump some off haha.

Enjoy fellas:

I registered, but got an "This offer is by invitation only" message. I'll see if I can't get in though. It's a freakin' awesome offer!

That was a good find. for those who don't have it already they also have a card that gives you 2x the points on advertising year round!

there is a annual fee but for full time marketers it should pay for itself pretty fast!

Inversion - I'm gonna call AMEX and ask em what the deal is. If it's invitation only why am I seeing it in my account to reg? It's giving me same message ... I posted out of excitement before I tried to reg myself. Will update ya'll on what they say.

Yeah make sure you actually register. I thought I would be ok because I'm already enrolled in the AMEX rewards program, but you must apply for this specific promotion. I wasn't able to sign up via the link, so I called them, and they said they'd get back to me.

Yeh - i'm on hold with them right now while they set it up. Looks like the call in is the "KEY". =) Now let's get $$ (aint points =P)

Hey dude -

They told me to link my fb account to link.americanexpress.com (their fanpage) and it would set me up that way. So, I did ....

Then I went to the form and tried to enroll in that program and it still gave me the same "invite only" deal.

Can you give me details of what they did for you on the phone plse?

I have them further investigating as we speak.

BTW Adrian, it was great meeting you at ASW. If you ever decide to get rid of your "bling" I could flip the M over for a W (i.e, Walter) and it would work really well. :-)

I know its not 3x... but my Amex biz gold gives 2x on ALL advertising. And its NOT invitation only.

Yeah, it's Amex gold. Right now they're waiving the first year ($150) and any advertising gets 2x the points. Travel / airfare gets 3x the points. Both only up to the first $100k spent per calendar year.

Hey tical, does the amex gold include double points for plenty of fish advertising to?

I'm not tical, but when I applied for the card and gave them the rundown on my biz, I confirmed adcenter and adwords but I didnt ask about others. Good question, especially as I delve into the mobile world. I'll give them a call.

i wish they had something like this for the amex plum card, amex plum gives 1.5% cash back , no points. i prefer to just get the extra cash back at the end of the month for added profit. depending on your ad spend 1.5% can be a nice chunk of extra monies

This sounds awesome. haven't find those deals here in europe yet

Well... I have to say that I am very lucky to be in Malaysia...

My country does not have AMEX issuing the card directly here. Instead, they team up with a local bank - Maybank, and they came out an AMEX card that give you 5x points EVERYDAY on your spending.

Yes, you read that right, 5x!

The only thing is that I am unsure if they do give 5x on FB spending. I gonna check and post the update here.

Anyway Adrian really good finding! Thanks

Does anyone know if you get the points on mobile networks? or just the major networks like MSN and Adwords

Only problem with cash back is that its taxable, so you don't really get 1.5% back. You get 1.5% - taxes.

i'm pretty sure it's any company that categorizes the charge under 'advertising services' or whatever

It does not work. You have to actually be sent the offer. I was unable to sign up via the link, and after talking to customer service, they said that I had to be solicited. FUCK amex platinum. You gold losers get more love.
