Push Noob - First Campaign

Total push noob here.. I'm just getting started with push and I need a sanity check before I go any further. I setup a ZeroPark account and they gave me a free trial of Voluum, so I set that up as well. Earlier I launched a test campaign - I spent $40 total. US only traffic targeting Android phone. This was linked directly to my offer, using a Cake link/conversion postback.

The results are surprising (to me). I got about 1400 "Visits" according to Voluum but only 2 conversions (clicks and conversions seem to be tracking across all platforms with no issues). The sign-up page these users are going to typically converts around 35-40%. My expectation was this traffic was going to convert lower but I wasn't expecting it to be that low. Can anyone tell me if those results are "normal"? If they are, what's the trick? Just weeding out all the sources and devices that don't convert?

My next test is going to use a prelander but I'm not sure if that's going to make much of a difference. Any guidance, feedback, or ridicule would be very much appreciated.

Go here: https://stmforum.com/forum/forumdisp...-Push-Tutorial

ZP is a great network for scaling, I wouldn't use it for testing.

Test your funnel with a source that has subscription age and test Hi only. Propeller, Pushground, EvaDav, etc.

And yes, I would use a lander before the offer page.

The results are not that surprising, you sent direct linked traffic to the offer and ran traffic probably RON, with no good BL or WL.

The sign-up page these users are going to typically converts around 35-40%.
That´s absolutely possible but mostly when the user is pre-sold already with a good landing page.

It also depends on the trafficsource that is used.
When the 35%-40% are the CR networkwide you never know what traffic other affiliates are running.

FB for example usually converts better than push or pops.

Can anyone tell me if those results are "normal"?
There is nothing like THE ONE normal thing but your results are absolutely normal considering your setup.

If they are, what's the trick? Just weeding out all the sources and devices that don't convert?
First step: Find a converting funnel
Second step: Start optimizing
