How many ad accounts/pixels do I need?

One thing that I am still confused about when it comes to advertising on Facebook is the amount of ad accounts and pixels needed. Do I need a new ad account and pixel for every offer I run? If not, how will the pixel know what vertical I am running in order to create lookalike audiences. Thanks for any help!

Facebook almost demands to use one business manager per brand, in this case offer for you.

Especially if you run different types of verticals/products/audiences.

The pixel is on it’s best focussed on one thing yes.

Thanks for the reply,

But what if I were to run two similar offers such as house insurance and car insurance. Would it still be recommended to use two different pixels and ad accounts? Also, is there a conventional naming practice for naming the different ad accounts?

I'd definitely run over 2 ad accounts yeah and seperate pixels for housing and car insurance.

The naming is solely up to you, the more systematic though the easier it is to see once it gets a bit hectic in the accounts haha with many campaigns and adsets

You can name one ad account Car insurance and the other Home Insurance

Campaigns just write down what it is US-M-40+(USA geo, male gender, 40+ ages). Then adsets can be more specific to what you're testing eg VID-L-Ferrari (video ad, long form ad, ferrari interests etc)
