How to best use UPSELLS on SHOPIFY

I want to run post purchase upsells on Shopify.

OneClickUpsell (OCU) is the first and most obvious choice. I've used in the past with good results.

What I really want to find out is if anyone has ran any split tests with OCU and any other potential POST-purchase upsell apps. If so has there been a clear winner? I think OCU is the most comprehensive from glancing at the others.

My main concern: In regards to OCU, it overrides and uses it's own checkout over Shopify's. This means that Dynamic checkout doesn't work. So no quick checkouts on Google pay, apple pay, shopify pay, etc. OCU also means you can't use Paypal EXPRESS checkout. Normal paypal works after they've reached payment options.

Has anyone ever split tested this? Does CR drop from not having Googlepay, applepay etc?

I wonder if the difference in CR (if existing) will generate more revenue than upsells. I doubt it could have that much impact, but you never know.

I'll likely have to do the split-test for myself, but any insight in regards to Dynamic checkout is still appreciated.

I'm predicting the money generated from OCU will far outweigh the possible CR increase from allowing dynamic checkout.

Thanks

Using clickfunnels (or similar products) can be an option, if you haven't tried yet. Then you can target the customers later with email marketing.
But again, it depends on where the customers stand. Like for old customers you can do two subsequent upsells soon after a purchase but for new customers, it's best to do one small upsell or sometimes no upsell depending on what they are purchasing.

I usually disable express checkout because it can fuck up when you have complicated discounts and upsells in the cart. And the post purchase 1cu is even more of a reason for me to not need it.

For me the CVR difference from disabling express is not enough to lose all of the extra post purchase revenue

There is new kid on the block - AdPlexity Checkout, which is being (privately) battle tested for past few months.

Can't disclose all cool features publicly (yet), but it allows you to do everything current post purchase apps do (+ much more).

Paypal Express works well on our post checkout upsells as well.

You are not sure if it would make you more money than you are currently making?
AdPlexity Checkout allows you to send 50% traffic to default Shopify checkout and 50% to ours, so you can compare it yourself.

We didnt plan to accept any more people before public launch but PM me if you wanna get onboard early (and for free)

@wealthycpa Yeah have tried clickfunnels but didn't really work well when I tested for this funnel.
@umagaru I thought as much in terms of the CVR difference, thanks.
@kinghustler Sounds good will PM you!

Thanks for the input guys.
