How to Test Angles?

How far do you go when testing different angles?
if i want to test a bunch of different angles on native, should i just create ads, each with its own angle, and look at the CTR?
Or do i need to create a page with an angle that matches the ad?
The latter would obviously be more conclusive, but a lot more time consuming.

That's a great question that I always grapple with too...

Sometimes I create two separate campaigns if the angles are pretty different... also at times I've set up rules in the tracker so certain headlines only forward to certain landing pages, in order to ensure there's some congruency when testing multiple angles like that.

In general though I just try to copy what's working and then if it works for me too I'll then start testing new stuff and "pivoting" I guess you could call it...

Would be interested to hear what other folks do...
