"To our Affiliate World Community,
We recently announced that we were weighing all options of whether we could host you this July for Affiliate World Europe. This has been unlike anything we've ever experienced before, and our hearts go out to all of those who have felt the full weight of COVID-19. If we are to take anything from this, it is that life is precious, and the responsibilities we all have as a global community are clear as day. We all must do our part.
With that being said, it is with sadness that we inform you, after much reflection we have decided that we will postpone Affiliate World Europe to a future date. We have been working alongside the local government authorities in Spain, and we all agree that it will not be feasible to host you safely, as well as realistic given the current restrictions in place on gatherings of large sizes. These are not expected to be lifted in time for our original July 8-9, 2020 dates.
We know this will come as a disappointment to many of you who were looking forward to the event, it certainly is a disappointment for us. But while the situation continues to develop, we must respect government restrictions that are in place to protect our community's health and safety. And it is absolutely imperative for us that we feel 100% confident in running our events to our usual world-class standard, even if it is at a later date.
As we mentioned in our previous official announcement, we have already been putting plans in place for potential new dates, and we will inform you once they are finalised. And as communicated earlier, this postponement does mean if you have already purchased tickets for AWE 2020, they will be honored in full for the new dates."
I was totally looking forward to see everyone in Barcelona, but given the current circumstances, postponing was probably the only right thing to do. I just hope this whole thing will be over soon and we can get back to living the lives we are used to!

I think that would also be good to send a communication for people who booked a ticket to attend to AWE2020.
Initial offer was "your ticket is valid to attend to AWE2021". Yet, no communication has been made regarding AWE2021 happening or not so far.

We are waiting for a response as well. We have 2 tickets for AWE.
I didn't buy any tickets.
But.
I'm posting here because it's bugging me and I'm tempted to tag everyone from @shishev to @vortex to get the above complaints resolved by someone because it looks worse than it probably is.
Not sure who the main contact for the AWE stuff is, but they should do as @jeremie said and at least send out a 'Sorry, we fucked up, there was no 2020 and corona hates 2021 too! But next year, defs! Also, if you hate us now we completely understand and can give you a full refund + back massage with a happy ending!'
Or something similar.
Please rest assured that we will get to the bottom of this and resolve any issues.

Apologies everyone, we need to make a better habit of checking STM for posts around AWC. We always do prefer to share when we have the most recent updates finalized. We will have exciting news to announce in the next couple weeks. We are just finalising the last details for this announcement, but we are 100% confident that you will be just as excited as we are about this!
If we could just ask you for a little more patience until the announcement, we would appreciate it, as we believe you will agree that it is definitely worth the wait.
