Welcome to my first affiliate FA journey!
Backstory: One-man-show agency for several years, got some experience running campaigns for clients with close to $500k in adspend in Google/FB across different client accounts. This agency stuff got me out of a pretty bad financial situation, and helped me get back on my feet. It's a good way to gain real-world ad running experience with someone else's money. However, this thing now grew into something quite demanding for my taste, and I'm looking to use my skills for new opportunities.
What am I promoting?
Friend of mine has a beauty product. She created it few months ago, and invested pretty much all the money in the product, then expensive website creation and some instagram influencers mentions through an agency /again quite expensive/. Got okay initial results, then no money and no idea what to do next, she's desperate and thought this online IG product selling was a whole lot easier lol. Needs an internet marketer, has no remaining budget, got myself a good starting deal.
Competitive advantage:
The product is good (IMHO) and quite unique for the geo, I have direct access to the vendor's website. This is kind of a rare opportunity, I guess. I will be promoting right from their website and social profiles. Already spent 2 weeks redesigning everything and building a better funnel. Should be live any moment, a day or two. They don't currently have any sales or live promotions, all sales during the test process will be affiliated with me. Pretty much as WH as it gets, nobody else promoting this.
The challenge for this FA: Sell the current vendor's inventory of a little more than 500 pieces. Price point is a bit over average for this kind of products, I believe.
Product: Beauty skin care product, 0 experience in the niche
Geo: Local, small country
Tracker: FB reporting / pixel
Ads Channel: FB /my best/ + IG /I don't even have account there yet..
/
Test budget: €500-550 ads + up to €100 deployment
I'm creating this FA with the goal of sharing a little different kind of affiliate experience. Also, to my great surprise, I'm learning A LOT of new stuff here, and it'd be nice to be a bit more active, and share the results I get from different methods and tricks learned here. I will post more as soon as we launch some campaigns, stay tuned!

Good luck!
Sorry for the late update. Launch of redesigned website got delayed, vendor suddenly became hella picky with every detail, but it's now finally live!
I just started the first 3 campaigns to test the water.
Nothing new here, I usually like to start very broad and generic ads, in order to get a feel for the niche. What is getting clicked /kind of images, videos, etc/, the lingo, see some basic data - comments, likes, shares, and of course collect some audiences. I have 0 experience in the beauty/skin care niche, no previous pixel data.
Campaign 1:
Type: Carousel with 3 images, very little text so its well visible on mobile, CBO
Target: women, 17-24, beauty/cosmetic interests
Placement: FB
Budget: €5/day, conversions optimisation
Campaign 2:
Same as campaign 1, but target is 25-32 y.o.
Campaign 3:
Type: Regular newsfeed, 3 creatives /images from vendor/, large text 500 words above image, CBO
Target: women, 24-32, beauty/cosmetic interests
Placement: FB
Budget: €7/day, conversions optimisation
The goal of these initial campaigns is to get started, and acquire some initial data. I don't even know the basic things for the niche, but from my spying efforts it seems like images with Faces, Hands, amateur images with product are doing fine. I'm currently testing 6 different images on these campaigns, and in the same time doing some finishing touches on the website. Speed optimisation, newsletter, some more content and persuasion, etc.
What's next?
Complete the website and speed optimisation, finish the content build, newsletter hook, cart abandonment emails. Complete everything that isn't marketing, so I can focus on marketing (1)
Get creative with ads, funnel, traffic generation and execution, budget is kinda limited, but I managed to do the deployment with just 30 eu, so the ads test budget is now €520. (2)
Stay tuned!
Hey @youreadthis any updates?
