Capture 10% more clicks??? The Exit Play (10)

I agree completely - I like the the 6 ad 'native pop' as you call it, with each ad linking either direct to a offer (usually vsl or gadget presell) or to another one of your own funnels (though the latter complicates tracking).

The only time I've found it negative impacts performance is with some vsl (Clickbank) offers, and I think it's because people tend to move their mouse upward after clicking the 'go to video' call to action, thus triggering the exit pop at the same time as they page is shifting, which I think then distracts them and lowers overall conversion rate (that's my theory at least).

In general they're fantastic though - we added one to a listicle we were running on Revcontent and increased the overall campaign epc DRAMATICALLY... like 20-30% improvement...

This is interesting and I for sure see your logic here...If you're still running those offers try adding a 30-60 sec "activator" delay or depending on the traffic source and/or funnel just use a back button trigger instead of the mouse out.

Yes! 30% increase is what I am accustom to seeing as well. A great way to build a moat around your campaigns by making more per click then your competitors

Some time ago I was doing a large test with all these exit pops, popunders, entry-pops and backbuttons.

I had the best results with the combination of an entry-pop and a backbutton redirect... so when the lander was loaded it popped a small alert window with some text to get the users attention, that increased the LP CTR quite a lot. Since it was harder to miss this for the users, they either clicked OK on the pop and then took the time to read the LP, or they clicked the backbutton immediately where I was able to "catch" them with the backbutton script and I redirected them to another LP or straight to the offer.

The setup with the best results was a chained sequence where I was sending the users around in circles... LP, backbutton to another LP then backbutton to one more ... etc It's kinda annoying for the users and some traffic sources do not allow this, but it delivered very solid results

It was with dating offers, that's what I'm promoting most of the time.

Would love to see how your forced redirect back button would perform vs. these exit plays on dating offers. I'll give you a free Ampry account for this split test! PM me if your up for it?

I have tested exit pops too, but the combo I mentioned simply worked better from some reason.

Hey @jack_l if you use Voluum would you mind to share how you track these 6-ad-native-pops? I thought of a couple of ways to do it (using Voluum's listicles or setting up a separate Voluum campaign URL for them with rules based paths in place) but would be nice to hear how other people are tracking them.

Thanks in advance!

Sure

I use Thrive but I just do it the exact same way I would a listicle.

What do you guys see working well here on mobile? I've been struggling with mobile pops in general. 100% of my traffic is mobile so... yeah
